Two of the coaches at 4 Nations (Cassidy and Deboer) previously coached Thompson in Vegas and at least one of them didn't get along with him.

The Tenderness only belongs on one roster and that's the #### stain called Edmonton.

Guys like him are used to having to prove they belong. It's helps drive them to be even better than they already are. The cool thing though is when they succeed it tends to resonate more with fans than when the bigger guys do it. Big guys are expected to be good. They're big. They have no excuse for not being good. Little guys aren't expected to be able to do anything. They don't even get the chance half the time, so when they do succeed people want to see them more than the boring big guys. TLDR: Wolf will kick enough ass that fans/media will eventually put him on the team, whether managemnt wants to or not.

Chucky is out for the first 3-4 months of the season, it looks like. That's around mid-January, and the Olympics are at the begining of February.

No fighting in the Olympics so he won’t get stuffed in a locker by Team Canada again

United States 'planning and expecting' to have Tkachuk in 2026 Olympics
“I think he represents, in a lot of ways, the identity of the team and what we are trying to become as a group,” U.S. coach Mike Sullivan said. “He's a fierce competitor. He has incredible care for his teammates.
“We certainly missed him in the 4 Nations final.”
Florida Panthers GM Bill Zito is part of the U.S. management group and is at the camp here in Michigan, but (USA GM) Guerin said he has not pressed him regarding Tkachuk’s status.
“I don't push Billy, it's his player,” Guerin said. “But Matthew is a huge part of what we're trying to do here and he's on (the roster) until he's not.”
...
“(Thachuk) called me and just kind of told me what was going on,” Guerin said. “It wouldn't be great for him get on a plane and fly right now. He didn't have to be here.
“He was upbeat. He's always upbeat.”

Team Canada jerseys have been released. They look like a rehash of last olympics. Dislike the red/black but the white is decent. Uninspired and second rate compared to the beautiful four nations jersey though.

Bouchard has always been a mistake-prone player. But it was fair to wonder if this season would be different, considering the Olympic year and him having turned 26 years old. The answer through 15 games is a hard no. Bouchard has been a turnover machine, and so many of them are avoidable, terribly timed, or both. If the Oilers defenseman was putting up gaudy numbers, OK, sure, he'd have an outside chance of being Canada's eighth blue-liner. But 10 points isn't special enough to rid the baggage Bouchard carries around.

I actually kind of like those jerseys. No word mark on the front is a win for me.

Yeah it’s ridiculous.
However, they at least got rid of the use of gold. That was beyond embarrassing.

I'm not sure how I feel about these jerseys. On one hand I like the simplicity of it, as I personally love minimal striping/piping, and the simplified colour scheme. Also the 3D leaf is nice. But the black leaf doesn't fit Canada's image. Also I'm not sure how I feel about two slightly different red colours for the white jersey striping.
Anyway, it's a step in the right direction for simplifying and not going retro. Retro is uninspiring and lazy to me, so that's a plus. The black though, very meh.

I feel like the Olympic jersey should just always be the 87 Canada cup jersey.
You can't use the hockey Canada logo which is actually nice, and that 3D maple leaf is not a very good crest IMO.
I feel like the 87 Canada cup jersey fits the Olympics style so well.
On a different topic I forgot Pospisil was named to the Olympic team - I really hope he can figure out his concussion issues to be able to play at the Olympics.
