They might, but does Canada grow enough in the quantities it consumes? Given the planting season do growers know enough about increased demand to displace US produce? It's going to take more than a few months to sort this all out.
Canadian farmers have historically focused on export economies. This is largely because the domestic market was far smaller than the amount farmers are able to produce.
I do think that there is a shift coming with younger farmers who know margins in staple grains and beef are small. As a young farmer myself the advice I hear from older farmers is that the best money is in direct to consumer strategies. Making your farm a store front so to speak. A few smaller operations have turned that into a successful business, but in the end, its business for people with time and money to seek out locally produced goods.
I'd love to be an onion farmer. But I just don't have the know how to operate and fix the machines and the specifics of planting harvesting consumer crops and I especially don't have the stomach to take on 2M+ in debt learning.
The risk to reward is just to small. I know with Hay, Goats, Cattle and grain I have a ready made market that is predictable. With Onions and carrots I don't even know who I could sell a couple thousand tons to?

That conspiracy fits, I heard they keep all his body secretions (feces,urine,snot,whatnot) and take it back to Russia with them.
I caught this guy on Mike Baker's Presidents Daily Brief weekend situation report who was going on about this. Fully aware that this is a pretty hard right slant on this stuff although he's never really been the Russian double agent that Trump appears to be.
On one hand it does seem far fetched....on the other...I could see Putin essentially being locked down in a bunker and ultra paranoid at this point in his life and having an army of Decoy's.

Trump going on about how many wars he's ended and called referred to war of Russian aggression as Biden's war, and of course going about how he had the 2020 election stolen. I know it's nothing new, but it's infuriating. Plus, the media with their loaded questions to pump up Trump and diminish Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy was smart not to bite. I can't imagine the willpower it takes to sit in a room with Trump and have to listen to his bull####.

He also forecasted out loud that he's going to consider getting the US into a war before the midterms in 2026 since Zelensky said that he's prevented from having an election in Ukraine because of the war.
Unless I am forgetting something, that 'no elections during a war' is actually in the Ukranian constitution. No such clause exists in the US.
Not that it matters to trump.
