I'm not an expert on identifying cognitive decline, but for someone his age, coupled with using the wrong names of people, places, etc. while he's speaking would suggest that it's happening. One thing we know will likely happen if he does decline in this respect and in terms of his overall physical health, is that while he and his administration have been firing shots at the Democrats for concealing Biden's decline both cognitively and physically (which the Democrats did), and even proposing a congressional hearing on the cover up of it, the Republicans will do exactly the same thing and cover up Trump's decline and do exactly what they're demonizing the Democrats for doing. American politics is an absolute joke.

It's easy to mistake intelligence with awareness. Trump has proven time and again that he is extraordinarily stupid. His default babble time filler is to call these people "very tough", or "respected" or "brilliant".

Like when Trump met with BongBong Marcos and commented that Marcos was from a great family and they were highly respected. They re-arrested the sandwich throwing guy in DC, after he was released because a judge determined it wasnt a felony the first time they arrested him. New arrest on federal felony charges...and they sent 20 clowns to do it, even after his lawyer offered to have him turn himself in.

I refuse to believe anyone is smooth brained enough to think a peace deal will be brokered to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine by the meeting of the respective US and Russian autocrats, let alone considering this is being done without the inclusion of Ukraine
