But I suppose that a fools game as we can all go over a round and say "without that one terrible thing I did that led to 3 strokes", lol.

Speargrass is 100% worth the drive.

Shot a 92 at Mission Creek in Kelowna with rental clubs to tie my personal best! The quest to break 90 continues, but with finishing my basement I've only played 5 rounds this year and a few 9s. Hopefully get a couple more cracks at it.

I started 9-7 the other day, that was fun. Played the other 16 holes in +9 for a smooth 47-40-87.
Game is really starting to get more consistent. Goal is to get a 9 in the 30's and maybe even break 80 once this year. Had one 78 and one 80 last season!

Did Redwood Meadows burn down? I can't get their pro shop on the phone and their website booking is busted.

First round in a few weeks: 47-44-91.
Started to feel good on the back 9, rust coming off.
Saw Brooke Henderson at our course today with some RBC event we hosted this morning.

41-42-83 today to match the season low.
Double on 9 when I had a chance to close it out for a 39.
Double on 18 with a chance to close out a 40.
Couldn’t close today.

45-44-89 today with a couple real ugly holes.
4-putted on 2. Had a 50 footer up a hill and didn't hit it hard enough so had a 60 footer for my 2nd putt.
Made a 9 on the par 5 9th after blading one out of the bunker way over the green and 3-putting.
3-putt doubles on 12 and 17.
Could've been a lot better.

That's always the case. I've broke 80 twice, the first round I literally finished 2 over, 3 over, 2 over on the last three holes to walk off with a 78 after flirting with par in some weird round where everything went perfect. And that happened the SECOND I started calculating what would happen if I par'ed out. Immediately tightened up and that was that. I think I'm the only person in history to be upset after their first time ever breaking 80, lol.

My second time breaking 80 was when I watched the blue jays in a playoff game on my phone and got completely obliterated on Serenity. Shot a 74 with literally zero ****s given to the golf round.
It's like I took just 10% off each swing like I do at the range because I didn't lock in and focus and therefore over think and over swing and everything went straight and true. Nothing was overly spectacular either (other than driving the green on that new sun catcher course and putting an eagle attempt at a 90 degree angle to the hole for 30 feet and watching it catch the hill and roll in)
But why can't I do that for every round?

Double on 7, triple on 9, double on 15
Birdies on 8 and 18
Up and down round but 85 is solid, I'll take those.

41-39 today as a warm up for a 72 hole tourney starting tomorrow.
Pretty happy with where my game is at.

Which courses would you guys recommend to play in Kimberley? We've played all the courses around Invermere and would like to switch it up.

Bootleg Gap, Trickle Creek, Shadow Mountain and Wildstone are all good. Personally, I like Trickle and Bootleg the best from those 4.

I much prefer Invermere than Kimberly.
Shadow was the best of the Kimberly courses I played.

Went 37, 39 for a 76 today. Amazing feeling. Turning point was bogeying the first 3 holes on the back nine thinking "yeah, not breaking 80 today" and then hit a 115 yard approach thin....which lazered to the green and dropped in the hole for an eagle 2 to bring me back to 1 over on the back nine.
To have this round after mostly high 90's, low 100's these days was really, really uplifting. Second best round of my life.

Golf is funny, because like my other two under 80's - nothing really felt special about the round. It was just decent drive, approach on or near the green, two putt for par or short chip on and two putt for bogey. I can't remember those two other rounds to the shot, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time in my life that I didn't shoot a single double bogey or worse through a whole round. I was humming along in a way where each bogey felt like a melt down hole. Where as usually a bogey is like "alright, made it off this hole decently enough".
