I know how you feel. A few years ago, I had my gall bladder removed, and now when an emergency comes, it’s coming NOW (I have even had a few accidents, thankfully not in public). I had an upset stomach at the ‘dome awhile back, and had to wait the entire intermission to wait out the line for a toilet. Never again!

My last game at the saddledome was game 7 of the Dallas series in 2022. I'm happy with that as my last memory of the place (and Johnny )

Oh man. Rico was an absolute gem!

Gerry Festa was his relative - nephew I believe, but don't quote me.

He knew my dad fairly well, and would always talk about the cure for cancer he found, being his hot sauce, due to the capsaicin in it...

Pills pre-game for about $3.50 each, burger and fries, and he'd always make sure you saved room for pie.

The dot-matrix printed sign, with each page still attached to the prior, announcing the "Old Fashion Home Cooking".

He also was a cheque cashing place for people needing cash on short notice.

Off topic but it's crazy how removing your gall bladder just opens the door to seriously never trusting a single fart.... Ever. Especially if I even just a little bit of an upset stomach.

Not one medical professional even warned me about it…

He comes into my shop now and then. Talks a mile a minute.

Had mine out and have never, ever had that issue. I assume you’ve talked to your dr about that?

Whew I bailed on getting my gallbladder removed a few days before. Glad I did, there seems to be quite a few things that can pop up after having it done...

On Topic - I went to the Dome last year for the first time in close to 20 years and it's just awesome. I go to Rogers a few times a year and the over commercialization of every single square inch of that place is just gross (I'm sure the new arena will be the same). Go! It's a blast.

Been to a few different buildings over the past few years, I would say the 'Dome and MSG are the few that have a really distinct "feel" to them.

Yeah, it’s getting better but there’s some foods I have to avoid unless I’m very near to a bathroom the next day.

I don’t know about you, but MSG is the nicest NHL building I’ve seen, and I’ve been to many. The wife and I took a tour of the arena back in 2019- shockingly nice.

Took a tour of the new Raiders stadium in LV, and it’s perhaps the nicest sports venue I have ever been to. Can’t wait to see the new ballpark.

Having worked as MSG many times, I agree that the ice level and atmosphere in the rink are really great however the rest of the building leaves a lot to be desired. Very narrow hallways around the dressing rooms, inadequate elevators to get between level and a very aging infrastructure for broadcasters and dont get me started on the union that runs the place.

I adore MSG, but you can really see once you're behind the scenes that they made decisions to really put their best foot forward on the front-of-house... and kinda made due with the remaining space for back-of-house.

Are you sure they didn't remove your colon as well? I had my gall bladder out 25 years ago and have never had that problem, as a matter of fact pretty much my whole family has had it out and never heard of such a problem.

I had 11 attacks in 9 months before they finally took it out, trust me, as the stones get bigger you'll be begging for surgery, I don't know if some surgeons are better than others but I haven't had one issue in over 25 years since, I actually like to joke that today I can eat nails and not get heartburn or indigestion.

My mother-in-law had some of her colon removed a year ago and she'll suddenly just up and leave the room to rush to the bathroom.

Was not expecting gall bladder talk…

How is it that the concrete under the ice doesn’t crack with all the freeze \ thaw? Anybody know?

Does anyone have an idea when we are going to see renderings of the concourse areas and what this place is going to like once we are in the doors?
