Clearly, Sec is fed up with us and is leaving forever.
Can't say I blame him. I am pretty obnoxious

The biggest issue with this thread IMO is all the bickering and pointless proposal debates. I really just want news from CP and media insiders about the Flames.
The rest of us can just post dumb stuff in the GDT.

I agree about the bickering being the biggest issue of the thread but I very much enjoy the effort of strapping in as an armchair GM trying to put together a trade proposal that is logical and trying to understand the needs of the various teams that could impact the trade value and establish current market value in an ever evolving market. What makes trade proposal "debate" pointless is the tidal wave of replies of "NEVAAAAAAAAAR" that turns the proposal into a waste of effort (Hi Johnston proposal haters).
Also, the insiders are usually only able to give us a nugget or hint of information. A part of the fun of us receiving that nugget is speculating on what it means and guessing what is happening behind closed doors. If you get rid of that speculation then this is just a news/rumours thread where everyone holds their breath waiting for the next nugget, which is not very fun and engaging for anyone (in my opinion).
I do not think a restricted poster thread really solves the problem that has been suggested. - Problem: My understanding of the problem is that some of the community insiders may hold back delicious details because they are now aware that their content is being reposted to more globally viewed platforms.
- Solution: One solution would be to give them a safe space where they can share content with less/no fear of being redistributed.
The question then becomes "how do you implement a safe section of the forum where redistribution of content to other platforms gets your access revoked?".

I enjoy the trade proposals as they give me a reason to check out the other teams' players and prospects included in the proposals that I don't know much about.

Ryan Murphy write that any team looking to trade for Mctavish, the primary return should be a young high value RD. Calgary has three.

How about Sec, diss, Royle, and rasta send their info to me via private message, then I post that info without naming the author. That way, they keep their anonymity with their sources, and I get all the credit!!!!

As long as it’s not Parekh, and not our 2026 first, they can have whatever prospect they like if it’s for McTavish. We have enough assets in the cupboard to overpay a bit without even feeling it, as well.
