I know it is just the first game and it is preseason but I hope that the regular season late games move along as quickly as tonight and that the games finish around 9pm. Also, the virtual first down measurement system looks like it could be promising and hopefully a game improving technology.

Jerry is such a moron. He would have saved himself probably $50-100 million had he signed Parsons last offseason and as said above basically learned nothing from how he botched the Dak contract. I get the Commanders being wary of Mclaurin's age but with so much invested in their young QB, they really shouldn't be playing games like this as he's kind of the key to that offense.

9:30 at the earliest normally. Anything to speed things up is good though. I'm not a baseball guy but I know they have done things to speed up their game like the pitch clock and it has significantly improved viewership/attendance.

When the NFL needs to improve attendance/TV ratings maybe they'll consider speeding things up. No one watches the preseason, the coaching tactics are vanilla, and there's little care to clock management, so naturally they are faster games.

Given how much money it costs for a game, the networks probably don't mind the extra time that much if they can sell a few more ads.

Jerry Jones is a ####ing moron. Stephen Jones inherited his dad’s intelligence but then got dropped on his head as a baby. It’s hard to be dumber than Jerrah but Stephen has that covered.

As a lifelong Los Angeles SuperCharger fan it's a rough one to see what just happened to Rashawn Slater. Gets the massive contract and immediately is out for the year with a patellar tendon tear sustained in training camp. Career altering at the best of times.

Micah Parsons’ agent (as should the agents of other high profile players in contract years) should be on the phone with him right now and tell him that he shouldn’t be anywhere near the field until his long term deal is done. Don’t take the risk of blowing a patellar or Achilles and then potentially lose out on tens, if not hundred of millions of dollars.

Giving up a couple of game cheques to get the deal done is a sacrifice worth making.
