Presumably there were some Jem'Hadar that became "free" after the Founders got a taste of that Federation root beer.

Exept they didn't "lose" any actual pre-war territory. They just lost their foot hold in the Alpha Quadrant. And they only lost that because the Prophets put a "No-Dominion-Allowed" sign in front of the Wormhole. The only reason the war stopped was a link between Odo and the Female Changeling who allowed her to see what the Federation was really about and that they truly were not a long-term threat to the Dominion and their way of life (Something Picard season 3 actually ruined).
Assuming that Link never happens, the Dominion probably finds a way to create a long, protracted war with remaining Alpha Quadrant forces engaging in a guerilla war while reinforcements take the long way.
While Odo rejoining the link may have helped change some things I doubt they relinquish their hold on the Gamma Quadrant or change much of how their over-all control was held. Maybe a little softer, maybe a little less forcing them to view them as gods and maybe even breeding out the need for Ketrecel-White... but I don't think they'd actually feel the need for make them actually sexually capable... Again, unless Odo really wanted some big-booty angry Jem'Hadar women to fill the void of not seeing Kira yell at people on a regular basis

All excellent points. Especially if you ignore some of the beta canon novels, the end of the dominion war has no effect at all on the actual dominion proper, outside of new political views being added to the ruling class. But, does one (even very strong) voice among billions of founders change the groupmind that much? Doubtful. Distance is the limiting factor.
Another direction here, even if it were from a rogue group of post war Jem'Hadar left in the alpha quadrant... Why/ for what reason would they breed a new gender into their social structure? Presumably the first generation (they live like 6 years max) would be focused entirely on setting up the breeding vats for gen 2+, wouldnt the establishment of the existing breeding system be enough to lock them into a Bortus like culture?

anyways, female Jem 'Hadar are ridiculous and make me fear for what they are doing with that show. There is no chance they would put a female jem'hadar into lower decks as a comparison point. If they did, there would be a 3 minute long exposition with everyone asking how that even came to be. And the answer would be Q.

It's just annoying that the studio can produce good versions of the show that fans actually like (or even Love!) and SNW and BD both absolutely prove that there are writers out there who understand the show, the fandom, the canon.
Yet, they simultaneously #### all over the same parts of the show by putting out things like Sec 31 and now probably this.
Very frustrating, and IMO it makes it hard to get people into the universe. I think we are a dying fandom and it kills me.

But it didnt have to though! I was serious before, make the show set like 2-3 years Post-Picard.
Why tie it to a Franchise element that pretty much literally nobody liked?

You'd think that the last thing that they would modify is the ability to create females, am I right fellas.
I mean can you imagine a female Jem'Hadar getting pissed off at the male for not completing his tasks in the job jar.
And there are more important things to breed into themselves like probably the ability to poop. I mean that would ease the tensions right there.
I'm not holding out high hopes for this show, I mean it is by the creators of discovery.
The only thing that this show might be good for is getting blindingly drunk with a academy drinking game.
Whenever you hear them have a meeting where the terms I love you guys comes up drink.
Whenever you hear one of them say "you got this" take a drink.
Whenever Tilly annoys you, you got it take a drink.

It looks like Paramount+ is releasing the new episodes on Wednesday night at 10pm MT (midnight ET). 🖖
In other words, this week's episode is currently available.

The reviews of ye ol' Academy Trailer are...not on the 'positive' side.

At SDCC they've announced Star Trek: Year One, the early adventures of Kirk/Spock/Poochee.

Not bad, not bad. Holodeck Murder Mystery. But...we have to get to the meat of this season pretty soon. S2 and S4 have been filler episodes, time to get back to some actual trekking amongst the stars.

Frankly, it's the filler episodes that typically give us the excellent character depth and interplay that can then be built out in the more plot driven episodes. That's part of the secret sauce IMO.
The real problem is still that TV shows are limited to 8-12 episode seasons. A 20 episode SNW season would be incredible.

It would just be sexy ghosts hitting on female crew members.
