Liam Draxl is into another Challenger final as his trek towards the top 100 continues. He takes on August Holmgren on Sunday who had a pretty good run at Wimbledon making the 3rd round.

Good showing for Dennis. He faced a lot of lower ranked players but still took care of business not losing a single set the entire tournament.

The Canadian guys are in a tight cluster as far as the ATP rankings are concerned. I can't remember a time we had three Canadians in the top 35.

Liam lost the Granby final to August Holmgren in straight sets, but he's had a great last few weeks on the Challenger tour and with some draw luck could find himself inside the top 100 later this summer.

It did disappear mainly as a result of the United Cup (which is no more) and was usually had prior to the Aussie Open as a warm-up.

Meanwhile, no Sinner, Alcaraz, Draper, or Djokovic for the National Bank Open in Toronto. Djokovic hasn't played the event since 2018 so that's no surprise, but somebody has a pretty good chance to claim a Masters 1000 event.
/Maybe, just maybe one of our Canadian heroes.

Given Shapo is coming off a hardcort tournament victory, I would think he would have to be the favorite for Canadian men followed by Diallo, then Felix.

Victoria Mboko making fine use of the wildcard that the WTA DC tourney sent her way as she defeats Anastasia Potapova 6-2 6-4. Down 2-4 in set 2 and rips off four straight games to take the match, really impressive stuff.

Leylah continues the winning ways for Canadians in DC as she eliminates the young Aussie Maya Joint 6-3 6-3. I wasn't aware that Joint is currently ranked #38 in the world, but she has had a breakout season in 2025. Nice win by Leylah today, just wish I could have watched it as the world feed broke down prior to the match.

I enjoy watching Brooksby lose almost as much as watching the Oilers lose.

Victoria Mboko vs. Elena Rybakina getting prime time treatment today as their match will start at 5:30 PM Mountain time. I don't think any of the TSN tv channels will carry the match, but it should be available on TSN+

25 teams have entered the US Open Mixed doubles.
The top 8 based on singles rankings (up to Keys/Tiafoe) will get in plus 8 wildcards.
Hope FAA and Dawbrowski (the olympic bronze medalists) can get a wildcard but i think it's a long shot.
More teams could enter, the deadline is July 28

I think I read that the mixed doubles is using the fast four format meaning that they are not even going to play a regulation set to 6 games. Not sure if that has been confirmed though.
