Yes, because you never see either of them in their own end when playing on NHL ice.

If you ever wanted breathless gushing about the glitter twins that’s not Ron Maclean, that’s the article.

Mavi Diary - Day 15

Dear Diary. It’s time to deal with a tricky issue. Fans.

I love them all when I’m separated from them by at least a pane of glass…like around a rink or a walkway to the dressing room or airport lounge and especially my car window. I say especially my car window because I can deploy my primary core emotion of meh as I drive on by and ignore them.

I’ve done photo shoots at the airport and liquor store and of course signings. One I remember was when a fan had a painting of me standing victoriously over a victim. That part feels true to me especially if I get an award for it. I didn’t like the inference that I suffered in battle and ripped my jersey and there were no shoulder pads. I would get cold and I would never allow that so unreasonably drawn I would say.

Speaking of colds, I caught one and many other ailments when I signed autographs at west Edmonton mall. They put me on a bridge over troubled waters (hehheh I’m still a funny guy right diary? See what I did there) by the boat and between the sick fans in January and the general lack of tissues in Edmonton, I feel like I interacted with every nose wiping hand. No glass there either diary.

I love seeing my name on shirts from the olden days before I was an Oiler. Very clever from fans.

I just don’t like to touch them.

Later diary!

I have a work friend who is an Oiler fan and he asked me to get him a shirt when I was visiting Canada.

I was super impressed by how difficult it is to find any Oiler gear in Calgary. Well done Calgarians!

Mavi Diary - Day 16

Dear Diary. There has been a lot of online speculation about a concert where people were hugging and being embarrassed. For the record diary, Leon and I were in Newmarket losing to beer league players (but tying the second and third periods 2-2), and a Coldplay is when Leon won’t pass to me because we have hurt each other’s feelings about something. Besides that, I can hug Leon any time I want when we score goals so people would be fine with it in a kiss cam.

There has been speculation about fleury signing with the Oilers. I met Fleury with my dad, and my dad told me later that fleury was his hero growing up. So I guess he would bring up our average age a bit. I saw pacioretty might also come to the Oilers, but he might be too young for the team.

Wormy keeps calling and leaving voice mail…but it’s singing and now I can’t get it out of my head. It made my dad mad when he heard it. Here it is diary but I can’t make sense of it.

“Connor’s mom has got it going on”.

Tomorrow diary!

You weren't looking in the right place. To find Oilers gear in Calgary you need to search at the closest thing to Edmonton itself.

Of course Oilers media is whining about the league not calling enough penalties.

Man are they ever going to have some severe withdrawal when they lose McHeadshot and the league isn't bending over backwards for them at every possible turn.

Older and slower usually means less PP's, maybe Gregor wants 800 more penalties called for breathing on McDri

The premise of the post is that the Oilers didn't win the cup because there were fewer penalties called - but the thing is that every team was playing in the same environment, the difference is that the Oilers are one-dimensional, and have to rely on the power play.

Instead of whining about the officiating, here's a thought... get better!

"A massive drop."

A decrease of about 0.73 per game.

It’s the classic oilers media blitz. Of course, the “thought leaders” in mullettown forget that it goes both ways, and the previously vaunted PK plays on other teams now.

Yes, call the damn rules. I want to see McDavid in the penalty box with diving penalties for half the game.

Doesn’t matter. That roster gets worse every year. McDavid and Draisatl aren’t getting better. The supporting cast is the same or worse than the year before. No young players are coming to support. These last two years are probably the best it gets.

And his bull#### grab and tuck the stick under his armpit making it look like he's getting hooked move that the refs constantly fall for.
