As troutman mentioned, Season 3 started on Friday, I'm just getting to starting it.
I thought Season 2 ended quite strongly, so I'm looking forward to this.

I'm reserving Judgement just yet, but man, the actor that plays the Mule is just inherently unlikeable, so he's perfect for it.
He just plays 'smarmy jackass' so perfectly.

I thought they did a bit of a retcon/reboot in this one. Dispense of all the ancillary characters and explain Demerzel's actions.

Honestly, I think I've said it before, but I'm in the show for the ride. I havent read the books in ages so I forget a lot of the details (of which there are many) and I'm finding that its allowing me to more freely enjoy the show.

Sorta related, I've been wanting a copy of the books for prosperity, I have discovered that people do not sell their Asimov books. Zilch at the used bookstores around town, I asked the people at Fair's Fair, they said they get very little of his stuff in. Same with the Dune books.

I havent looked for the Dune books, but I got my Asimov collection together years and years ago...looks like it was a good thing.

I've working through the robots stuff. The Complete Robot has some fascinating stories that really hit today with our "AI" and the moral dilemmas that some days feel way too on point. It's funny how far off he gets some things and how others he nails in ways that are uncanny.
I'm all digital, and he's dead, so they are free from the "library" for my Kobo.

I agree. I'm OK with copyright to something like author death + 20 years to cover circumstances where an author dies leaving young children without financial support. But I see no reason why descendants should expect to live off someone's work in perpetuity (cough, cough, Tolkien estate).

I think if an artist dies, 10 years protection can apply for recent work. So if they did it in 2020, died in 2025, it expires in 2030.
No other industry keeps paying you for your work after you did it and got paid. If it did, I'd have a lot of income I could count on from all these maps!

I seem to recall I occasionally run into batches of them at thrift stores. Well read copies though and often nothing or in batches, nothing fancy. It legitimately might be scenarios where it's just dumped vs sold... maybe an estate situation vs spring cleaning.
I recall looking at a gold edged copies of the Foundation trilogy online in awe.
