According to wikipedia (so you know it's accurate):
The Calgary CMA includes Calgary, Rocky View County, Airdrie, Beiseker, Chestermere, Cochrane, Crossfield, Irricana, and Tsuu T'ina 145.

Is any city? No one was thinking 100 years ago that they're be 2mm people here.
Like ever noticed that downtown Calgary's roads don't actually go follow E-W N-S? Are we going to straighten it all out?

Just had to do some driving along 64th and 14th over the week and man, what is with the terrible red light timing? They are set up so that you are absolutely sure you will see the green light switch over as you are approaching each intersection if you are going the speed limit.
Basically encouraging you to not follow it. It's literally light after light after light.

If we are counting populations where more than 50% of people work in the city of Calgary I'd go as far south as High River, as far east as Strathmore, as far north as Carstairs and as far west as Bragg Creek.

The fact that Okotoks isnt included is borderline criminal. What, 80% of Okotoks is entirely dependent on Calgary?

It does, that wiki blurb left out the foothills area.
CMR's boundaries were legislated to include the City of Calgary, Foothills County to the south, Rocky View County to the west, north, and east, and a western portion of Wheatland County further to the east.[4] Also within these boundaries are the cities of Airdrie and Chestermere, seven towns: Cochrane, Crossfield, Diamond Valley, High River, Irricana, Okotoks, and Strathmore, two villages: Beiseker and Longview, and two First Nations communities: Tsuu T'ina 145 and Eden Valley 216

The fact they made a point to include Beiseker makes me laugh. Those 700 people sure will move the needle.

I thought everybody WFH.
Regardless, if a worker is indeed breathing oxygen in a workplace in Calgary, that's a lot of property tax that the City of Calgary is getting. And business property tax dwarfs your precious box of sticks. Why? Because there's a ####ing urinal in the bathrooms, of course.

It's more because businesses don't vote and homeowners do.

Longview and Eden Valley seem a bit far away to be included.

If they're all going to be that small then we can fit way way more.

lol it's literally what the CoC employee told me. But his point was that an office's finishes and amenities are greater than a home's. Because nothing says haute couture like carpet squares.

If you are blocking an intersection when the light changes move the #### out of the way. If you miss your turn or have to detour a bit then suck it up and deal with it instead of forcing others to have to wait because of your poor driving skills or self-importance.
I had to wait two lights at Sunridge Way off 16th Ave because of these #######s who wanted to go to the ####ing mall. I had to force my way through. If I didn’t who knows how long I would have had to wait.

When I worked in a bar people would leave their kids in the car while they played the VLTs. Scum.
