I'm looking forward to the statcast spray chart of Lukes' doubles at the end of the year - showing hits to the outfield corners/power alleys, and then one ground ball right at the first baseman.

Severino is terrible period.
Guy blames his shortcomings on the park when he literally chose to sign there with term lol. He doesn't realize his opponents are playing in the same park.

40 year old Blue Jay Scherzer is giving me major Dickey/Buehrle vibes. Probably not going to wow on any given night. But also won't give up 6 in an inning. So just a steady 5 or 6 innings and see what the bats can do.

Buerhle vibes please. Dickey? No F'n thanks. I would hope and pray that no Jays fan ever would want Dickey vibes again. I bet you enjoyed his knuckles working in 1 out of 7 starts lol
Jays gave up the farm for that bum, thankfully Syndergaard ended up crashing out. D'Arnaud is an after thought.

Those are two entirely different vibes.

Exactly.
It's like party vibes versus borderline suicide vibes.
I'll take Buehrle and my life.

Haha c'mon dude. Dickey was a 2 WAR pitcher per season who ate 200+ innings a year for the Jays. That's damn good value for a veteran pitcher. Did AA overpay thinking that Dickey was a perennial CY young guy? Sure. But he was an extremely serviceable pitcher.

You seriously telling me Dickey was valuable to the Jays during his tenure?

Absolutely I am. You have 5 spots in your rotation. Not all of them are aces and future hall of Famers. You need someone who can pitch 6 or 7 and give your team a chance to win. Maybe you should go back an look at the stats because that's exactly what Dickey did.

7.1 WAR in 4 seasons in Toronto.
5.7 alone in one season when the Jays acquired him.
I'm not saying he's not an MLB pitcher.. I'm simply saying the guy regressed and was never going to be the pitcher they felt they acquired.

Your point?
Did Dickey win the cy young? Yes. Did AA overpay thinking Dickey would replicate the CY young? Yes. Was Dickey a very serviceable pitcher who provided stability for a team that could score 6 a game? Also yes. Dickey provided the same value that Berrios has over his tenure and higher than Bassitt. Dude gets an unfair rap because of the trade. That he didn't ask for btw.

To refresh your memory, they didn't acquire Dickey to be a Chris Bassitt or Eric Lauer. And he gave them less lol.

So his CY Young counts with the Jays? The guy wasn't even counted on in the playoffs, nor was it a possibility. Are you RA's son or mom? Cousin maybe?
