Second off. You venting a text wall about moving Kadri that's as linear as a ball of yarn doesn't make what I said any less pertinent. Kadri doesn't want to move. And if he did, the rumor is only for Toronto. In what universe can they offer up a socks blown off offer? None.
So your whole post was for nothing. Other than to vent at imagined realities.
I'd trade Kadri asap if I was GM and could. But that's not reality. And truth be told, I think a lot of this Kadri junk is just Toronto media spinning up stories.
Anyways, I stupidly got in the way of a rant about nothing. I've learned my lesson.

You didn’t read my post and then figured it out after I called you out. You’re interpreting the tone and imagining the “attitude”. I’m typing words so, you were wrong, take the L. If it makes it better I’m not speaking with attitude haha
The quote is, and the reason for the rant is PRECISELY that the Flames don’t sound like they would “trade Kadri asap if they were GM” (your words, I agree).
The quote insinuates, and the entire reason for my post (maybe read it again)- is that the Flames are asking or seem to be requiring some kind of kings ransom. That is objectively stupid. Sounds like you agree.
Cool.

Or they could just sign one of the free agents for free that's as good or better than him.

That is unfortunate, it is the perfect time to move him.

Probably best for the team to keep Kadri around to teach the young kids coming up.

They wanted to move Zegras to the wing but with the Krieder trade and Gauthier they had no room.

Gauthier was drafted as a center and played that position the majority of the time in College, but yeah I don't disagree with what you're saying. The Ducks have a good problem with a wealth of talent down the middle. Gauthier played left wing last year and had great chemistry with Leo Carlsson.
The idea that the Ducks are "grooming" a 21 year old 3rd overall pick who just finished with 22 goals and 52 points is... foolish.

Never heard of him being a C? Let me enlighten you. The whole plan is to transition him to C because his game fits better in that position and it's what he wants to play

Oh yeah gotta keep so many vets. Teach the young guys how to set their alarm clocks and brush their teeth. Love that energy.

Prob not if you can get some assets for him and he’s willing to move. That’s worth more than weird vague nebulous arm wavey “teaching moments”

I agree with diss- I've always seen Gauthier as a C in waiting. Like many youngsters, he's just playing the wing IMO, until he can transition to the middle- I would be very surprised if he's still a winger when he's 25.

David Pagnotta: I'm curious as to Mason McTavish's future...or at least stance in Anaheim; you started to hear a little bit of noise he wasn't overly thrilled with the fact his role might diminish, so maybe that leads to some trade discussions - Leafs Morning Take

McTavish has been floated out there a couple times now and Verbeek is an awful GM. Hopefully the Flames can take advantage

Pagnotta is a moron. He’s not a reliable source for anything.
Maybe that’s why they traded Zegras right ?

Constantly going back to Kadri feels like a waste of time, entirely manufactured by the Leafs fanbase. Rather hear about more realistic trade pieces like Coleman, Backlund or Pospisil or Pachal or even Frost. Guys with shorter term left who might be valuable.

If I was trying to get pageviews or attention, dreaming up hypothetical Kadri trades is a goldmine. But it's also just awful, awful content.

And Andersson.
Sure! I’m down. Figure it out rather than “just miss” or “just barely make” the playoffs followed by immediate exit. Either way my point, which is still not debated but maybe disliked how I delivered it, was that if Kadri’s willing to move, it shouldn’t require a “blow your socks off” offer.

Show me the quote where Verbeek said he was his #2 C. I heard his press where he said they were talking and were excited about their future.

Go look at presentation after they traded Zegras. I just told you.
