Saw that video on Monday.
Drunk guy picked the wrong guy to fight. Got what he probably deserved.
Throwing him in the pond was a nice touch.

Dude had nothing. He stood there while Tarnasky pulled back, wound up and said "BANG!" before every punch. Chump got posterized.

No kidding. There's absolutely no point in worrying as it appears nothing is imminent nor does it have to be. It's looking more and more like it's going to happen at the trade deadline and that's totally fine as it takes the NMC out of the equation as I imagine he will waive for a playoff run with any cup contender.

But can we trust what he has always done since he has become GM or should we trust what some folks on the internet think (know?) he actually wants to do?

From listening to the conversation, sounds like he has heard they are willing to trade the Vegas pick, just not their own. And you can only give up your own picks in an offer sheet.

Yeah I never bought the offersheet stuff my whole beef is that it seems like the Vegas 1st is in play and potentially other picks if you look at the return on Miller and the potential framework on Byram.

Moving the Vegas pick now might be a bit shrewd TBH.
Vegas likely picks 26-32 next year.
If you can move that for an U-25 piece that is a long term core piece (Byram, MacTavish, etc) then that would be fine.
That pick likely has a 25% chance of being anything special if Vegas does what people expect Vegas to do.

But #### happens. One year ago, no one would have thought that BOS and NYR would be lottery picks this year. Yet, here we are.
If you trade that pick, then VGS misses the playoffs, then win the lottery, it's a firable offense for all involved. I would much rather they remain patient.

I can see the Flames definitely moving the 26 Vegas 1st. It's not going to be a top pick regardless so if it can facilitate getting a player they value highly that is of the right age (1st year NHLer or on the cusp of making the team, aka RFA level) then see ya Vegas pick. But they aren't going to spend it on a vet. I'm pretty confident about that.

But look you got a thanks for Burning Beard.
But starting to move out any 1st roound pick we have in our assets is pretty dumb right now unless its for a major piece. IMO Byram and Miller don't fit that criteria.

The season could go sideways for Vegas. You don't know what happens.
Its not Byram or McTavish its Byram or Miller who the pick was floated for apparently.
Thankfully Buffalo wants stuff we don't want to trade and Byram has crazy demands.

Dude you are a pretty weird person. I haven't conversed with you on here for a long time because I feel it isn't worth it, but several times you have brought up my "thanks". It is verging on obsessive honestly.
I find it bizarre that a grown adult can care so much about thanks on an internet forum. If it honestly means this much to you what posts someone thanks, perhaps it's time to take an internet break for your own mental health?

I thanked it too because Paulie was responding to Howard the Duck when he referenced that 1st. Howard the Duck’s post referenced that the first Paulie was referring to was the one needed for an offer sheet (ie the Flames one). Now that the offer sheet rumour has been proven to be absolute bull#### he was referring to the Vegas pick I guess.

LOL you calling someone obsessive when you go out of your way to thank any posts involving me.
Maybe you need a mental health break.

I'd rather keep the Vegas pick too. Rangers went from 114 points and President's Trophy to 85 points and missing the playoffs. Different situation for sure, but you never know what will happen.
Flames biggest issue is still lack of elite talent. Don't give up anything that has potential to be a high first round draft pick.
