I didn't insult anyone, I simply like reading the conversations, the odd time I post somethings (obviously you are too busy switching accounts and being superior to notice) not everyone make 1453 posts per day you know.

Flames don't feel any urgency in trading away Rasmus or acquiring Byram. This applies across their whole roster. They're more than happy to ride out the summer and head into the season. So I think for rumors and activity, this summer may be brutal for the fanbase anticipating moves.

I advise everyone to go enjoy the summer. If something happens, then we can really discuss it but at this point---these rumors are just getting wild. Hard to decipher what is true and what is clickbait.

If Conroy leaks enough trade rumors to different people, he can judge our reactions on here and make the decision that makes the most people happy!

Anyway, am personally convinced that Conroy is just rebuilding, period, but being incredibly sneaky. He could have easily added to the team by now to improve them. I personally think the target to get to is a "Respectable Tank". It doesn't make much sense to use assets to prop-up this team, and the best prospects are near the bottom. He just doesn't want a burn it to the ground rebuild, but I do think the target is to draft high this season, and maybe next. I guess we will see. This team will work hard, but lose more than they win.



I am sure if there is a move in which it makes sense to acquire a young player that they feel is a good fit long term, Conroy will make that deal. Other than that, I just think this is a rebuild. If he suddenly adds players rather than trades some for futures, then I will pivot on my opinion, but as of now, a fairly deep rebuild is what I believe is happening.

The Tanev and Hanifin deals weren't exactly terrible. They just weren't value maxing.

Rebuilding with draft picks is a long process. we wont know the true value of those deals until 4 years after the pick is selected.
