Maybe the (now ex) CEO of Attabotics will build a submarine to visit the Titanic next. Sounds like he's cut from the same cloth.

Basically, can confirm (anecdotally) much of the sentiments on that Reddit thread.
It's too bad. A great industry to enter and, allegedly a good product idea. But ultimately leadership is important and you can't start acting like trillion dollar bezos when your product isnt even at market

I worked for Atta for just over 5 years. The teams I worked with were all amazing people. Management and ownership? Not so much. I won't get into too much detail (NDAs etc) but Scott Gravelle is definitely on at least 300 people's ####list, and that was before the absolutely Garbage way the employee base was informed of the insolvency.
We got the email at 7:00pm Sunday night telling us the Company was going bust. And not to bother coming in on Monday as no one would allowed access to HQ. It just felt so cowardly to not have a company wide face to face to explain this situation. And they spent the last three weeks blowing sunshine and smoke up our asses about up coming projects.

You guys are AWESOME!!!”
Maybe I’m a cynic, but nobody writing or reading that stuff believes it, do they? So who are they trying to impress?

This genre of LinkedIn posts are the worst. It's all performative. Even when the scythe is hanging over their head, these people find a way to inject toxic positivity into their posts.
"I'm so excited to announce this hostile takeover by <company>! They're leaders in <field> and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with <name>. We work stronger when we work together. :muscle-emoji:"

Isn't that entirety what LinkedIn is? I can't imagine any other use for it other than to perform a character you are playing to stay employed, find employment, or be employable in the future. Ya, it's all saccharine pablum, but that's what it says on the tin.

100% Fuzz. It's 95% performative. LinkedIn was a decent platform for awhile, but then it just because another social media cesspool. I'm still amazed at how much people fly their political flags on that platform.

A few people treat it like twitter, or go hard on political posts. I had to unfollow an old manager of mine because he was basically parroting everything Danielle Smith and Dan McLean posted.

Cross posted in the video game thread. Linkedin is certainly . . . something.
Crazy manager at a company that just fired 10,000 people to pay for AI hardware thinks it's a good ideal to suggest they use AI to deal with it. Oh, I guess they also own linkedin too.

I mean, it is kinda dumb, but the resume review is a good idea.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
