I feel lost.
There are these trades and contracts going to people I've never heard of.
I think if a dude has an apostrophe in his name he'd have done something and I've had heard about it, but I have no idea who this guy is and now he's getting $60M.

He was a 1st round pick, he's played over 300 games, and his name has been all over the rumour mill for the last couple of months.
Too much Star Trek and Walking Dead taking your attention?

That is a boatload of money for the Hurricanes. If anyone can teach him how to actually play defence though it is Rod the Bod.

First of all....maybe! But thats neither here nor there!
But I just checked this guy's stats, why is he worth $7.5M? It looks like hes had 2 good seasons a few years ago.

Carolina wouldn’t have offered that so it’s moot.

Andersson is better so it's tough to say they wouldn't have for sure

I think this is good for Ras. It gives a benchmark for a sign and trade.
If vegas wants a sign and trade this is what they'll have to pay up, and I would be happy with this type of return

But he’s already said he wouldn’t sign. We also don’t know what his contract demands are.
So much talk about how he’s hurting the flames by limiting the teams he’ll sign with but he’s also limiting himself. He could have an awful season or get hurt and never earn another penny.
Or he could’ve accepted a deal like this and be guaranteed to be $50 million richer.

Is Scott Morrow actually that good though?
I'm sure the condition on the first is it's the worst one they've got, so something like 28, a late 2nd, and Morrow isn't a whole lot to pay for a guy that I assume is locked in to be their #3 defenseman for the next 8 years.
