Former first rounder 5yrs in the minors finally cracks Flames lineup on the 4th line. No thanks.

Sharangovich
Lomberg
Posposil
Basha
Gridin
Battaglia
Stromgren
….theres not room for him on the Wranglers, let alone the Flames.

Fair, but that's seven NHL wingers and there's eight winger spots for next season. Pelletier and Stromgren competing for that last spot would not be a bad thing at all. Also, nothing wrong with having even more depth; injuries will definitely happen. And as you also mention, Pelletier would be good for the locker room; he bleeds the red and yellow, he's indicated as such - one should never discount that dynamic either.

Well, I only counted the LHS wingers, if we want to include RHS, you can add Coronato and Klapka. Pelletier’s not taking either of those spots.
Frankly, I think Pelletier is a bad fit for the Flames and for himself. He is an undersized winger who isn’t particularly dangerous as a scoring threat. He would have to be an excellent defensive player to leap frog the guys who already passed him while he was here.

Agree to disagree (which is totally fine). He was coming into his own with us, very evidently, right before the trade happened. I feel he'd be a solid addition, especially with the mantra of how the team wants to play the game here and to have players that want to be here - as long as he's aware he would still have have to earn a spot (like everyone else), and not just given one.

That's just the LWers.
Coronato, Klapka and others would be on the list as RWers as well.
Way more space for a Tomasino type than a Pelletier

I wonder if he gives us an update on Prosvetov. I imagine probably some visa related stuff or something holding that up if it is indeed happening?

Only thing I’ve heard was that Dallas inquired.
Not even sure if Craig’s made him available, nor what a return would look like.
Dallas also keeping tabs on Rasmus.

Was just reading the Avs are in on Ehlers and if they get Ehlers they're going to move Necas. IMO, keeping some assets to acquire Mecas would be saavy. Necas would be a good fit on RW and C.

Sabres trade Sam Lafferty to Chicago for a 6th. This is the third time the Hawks have acquired Lafferty.

Thanks Royle. Ras (50%) + Coleman + Grushnikov package to Dallas would be fun.
Lian Bischel + Future 1st unprotected + 2nd + 2nd
Probably too much from Dallas?

I don't like how Salim paints the picture of the Flames. It's not real and heavily sensationalistic. "Something's wrong with Calgary and I think it's worse than they're letting on"

I don’t think there’s anything in that thread that is sensationalizing anything.
It just is how it has been.
Conroy even talking about the Marner situation and how you either take less in a trade or keep the player and extract last minute value in a sign and trade?
That’s not exactly the most inspiring thing to see as a fan.
What is the messaging to the fans here? In his post draft interview, he even says it’s hard to replicate Florida because they had high picks.
…so that’s just it? “We can’t be the best because the best had top picks” (there’s me sensationalizing something)

YYeah i dont love his framing either.
Like we're resetting our core, ofcourse we dont want to keep a bunch of UFA longterm.
But to be fair to Salim, the organization has framed it like they've tried to keep all these guys to some degree and just havnt agreed on contracts.
