The way too early 2026 NHL Draft Thread...

Flames 2026 Picks:
"They have all of their own picks except for the 7th rounder, which was traded at the 2025 Draft for Detroit's 2025 7th.
They also have Vegas's 1st rounder, acquired in the Hanifin trade; and Vancouver's 3rd rounder, acquired in the Zadorov trade."
Upside's Early Top 32 is now live and our mega rankings database already has eyes on nearly 200 prospects in total, probably still not enough to locate all of the Flames late round picks from Sweden, Russia, and beyond...

Early of course but not looking like as centre-heavy as this year’s draft. Mostly wingers and defencemen in the first round rankings.

Ryan Roobroeck was 10 days too young for this years draft, and only 20 days younger than Schaefer. Probably would have gone top 5 this year if a little older

Calgary's pick will be #1 and Vegas' will be #32, which averages to 16... That's how Craig breaks the curse.

It's too bad the Flames draft results took a bit of a step back this draft. A very middle of the road C. Hopefully they return to form in 2027.

Guys, I am jokingly rating our 2026 draft based on selections that haven't been made on players I don't know. If you look on the first page of the 2025 Draft thread, I believe I was close to consensus on how the 2025 Draft had been graded as I gave it a B+...on June 29, 2024.

Really interested to see how Keaton Verhoeff does in North Dakota next year, at 6'4 215lbs he was a beast in Victoria and just turned 17 last week. He's my early choice to go 2nd OV.
