Yeah since they gave away Ritchie to the Islanders already

Colorado needs cap Space. That Nelson deal looks even more dreadful after seeing Tavares sign for nothing.

Yikes. Really don’t like that for Colorado giving up Miles Wood- he’s a great middle-six forward with top end wheels.

Tavares wouldn't have signed that low for anyone else.

He struggled badly this season with injuries and no guarantee he comes back.

Yeah....cause Ras isn't worth any 1st line center in the league. He's worth some lottery tickets though, and some great players have been drafted in the middle of the 1st.

Can't just demand a top asset for an expiring asset and expect to do anything.

Didn’t realize his injuries were that bad. Makes more sense if that’s the case.

Understood but it’s still ugly. Kadri is a better and makes less.

Pissing away a prime MacKinnon and Makar.

I’ll be at yyc with arms wide open to bring them home.

People have to get over that the only problem to solve is getting a 1C.
Chances are the Flames will not out of the weekend with a 1c.
But that doesn't mean there isn't other work to do and other ways of improving.

Why do teams constantly covet this Coyle guy?
He's only broken 20 goals and 50 points twice in his career. Defensive play is mediocre. Is big but not especially tough.

What's the appeal? Why do teams continue to give up quality assets for this guy?

Seriously, I've watched him play a lot and I just don't get it. Somebody help me out.

He played for 2 teams prior to being a TDL move for Colorado. Who are these other teams who covet him?

Plug n' play stop gap player. Which is why I wonder if it is to allow them to trade a different guy.
