Yah, a boat might be a boat, but a mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat!

I'll take the boat that's already afloat thanks. This draft isn't very good. Going to be lucky to get a single middle six forwards out of the 16th and 17th picks. Dobson is the type of player a team hopes they can draft in the top 5 of a good draft.

Yes I agree, that was my point

I like Zary but it is mind blowing how overrated he is on here. He's a maybe 60-point guy.
One has to assume that Rasmus, Zary and whatever else they pick up in free agency next week will allow them to be a bubble team again. Add in Barzal again to their lineup and DeAngelo for the full year on their PP and they are probably fine. Suspect they would take that deal in a heartbeat. It is crazy good for the Islanders.

I have Ras and Zary to Utah...NYI gets 4OV.

IMO it does not need to be McKenna to be worth it. I'd trade Ras and Zary to get 1 of the top 6 picks this year. Next draft is stronger, so for me top 10 next year is like top 6 this year.

I would probably trade Zary and Ras to get a guy like O'Brien, he probably goes 8 or 9.

Very good chance NYI is bottom 10 and a reasonable chance they are bottom 5. Top 5 pick for a quality winger and Ras would be a steal. Top 10 is a win.

I definitely thought you had the flames also giving up a 1st this year. Now it looks a little better but I still dont love the gamble

What do you think NYI are going to do knowing they don’t have their own 1st round pick in 26? Tank for us? lol

That’s just it. If they are willing to trade an unprotected 1st then they aren’t going to do nothing to improve the team.

It makes sense that Treliving has played a part in his career.

Rumors they are going hard after Hagens. They are getting 4OV in this trade.

I don't care what they do, they aren't better after trading Dobson and Nelson. You think they are? What free agents are they adding that are that good?

17 is owned by NYI...I guess that is why you were saying 2 mid 1sts.

Barzal missed more than half the year, so they’ll be improved with a full season of him. Add a couple guys like Granlund or Provorov?

Again, the Flames traded more and got better. Saying “they aren’t better” is silly. Next season is a long way away yet, and the value you’re proposing is just suck for the Flames.

Yeah, it's not even July 1 yet, so it's a bit premature to map any team's performance next year right now. Having said that, they will need to replace two key pieces in Dobson who ate up minutes and drove offense for them and Nelson's offense up the middle of the ice.

14th and 20th Overall and Sillinger should be good enough for Raz.

Raz should extend in CBJ with Monny, Guddy and the Gaudreau's there.

Maybe Flames package the picks to move into top 10.

That would be better than Dobson

Voronkov outscored Silinger last year and is 6'5 and 227 and skates like the wind.

I'm not sure how much Sillinger played centre with Monny, Fantilli, Jenner and Kuraly all there.

I don't think there's much differece between Sillinger and Voronkov.

What’s Voronkov have to do with anything? That trade would definitely be enough as it’s a better return than Dobson
