Now you have SuperMatt using Florida and players they took a chance o AFTER they had built up their top line core ans could identify areas to improve. Ridiculous stuff.

We seem to aim low all the time as fans.
14th OA + Sillinger is not a minimal return for Andersson. Your expectations are out of whack. Just look at the Hronek, Chychrun, and Lindholm returns.

Now you’re going to whine because I dislike McQueen but I’ve stated others I like. Is been stated it’s a top 10 sans after that it’s a crap shoot. Mcqueem isn’t top 10 for me. So if we trade into the top 10 you go big or you can grab a Martin.

Overtime you can start filling in the others even though we have a pool of players for middle 6 roles. So why use our best trade asset to settle.
Jason Robertson isn't a first liner?

I mean he's 25 and has a career 1.053PPG over 374 games.

First liners must have at least a 1.054 PPG.

If they deal Bischel, they’ll just have to replace him with someone else at LD who costs a lot more. With their forward depth, it would hurt Dallas less to move Bourque.

I feel like it's gonna be Columbus that wind the Razz sweeps. Don't think they much care about Ekblad. Then again maybe I'm. Wrong.

is Robertson legit for Anderson?

That would be awesome.

We don’t know what they would offer, but there’s 2 truths to that statement:

#1 Dallas has Rasmus as a top target for them, with 50% retention for this last year it would help set them up for another run.
#2 Robertson has been outed as “available” by Dallas to gauge interest/offers.

I really like Robertson and want him on the Flames but I wouldn't want to use Andersson to get a winger. Andersson needs to bring back a #1C.

Doubt that will happen.

Who’s going to dump a 1C?

Wouldn’t we all. Andersson will not get us that. Robertson would be an incredible return for Andersson.

Haven’t heard the interview myself yet, but that’d be some cold water on draft hopes.

Or maybe not

(Rossi himself would make very little sense to me as Raz doesn’t fit what Minny needs at all)

Sillinger definitely fits that type of player though.

Craig letting suitors know he has options is good for negotiations.

It was a response to a mailbag question about if the Flames would use Andersson to target pending RFA’s like Rossi or Peterka.

Sounds about right. Outside of Huska don’t think steinberg had ever reported anything gotten it right.

Steinberg steers the conversation and doesn't really go out of his way to toss names around. Before Hamilton was traded or even the idea that he would be traded he steered the conversation that way. I remember that hour of talk with Loubardias vividly. Not long after, the Hamilton for Lindholm and Hanifin deal went down.

Steinberg is in the know, he just operates differently.

He's not trying to be an insiderrrr. He's being a pro at his role.

I don't think it's Rossi specifically, I don't necessarily think Guerin is hunting for a RHD.

But RFA level talent? Yeah for sure. They want tenured cost control. It's actually an M.O I've grown to like with the Flames trade targets.

He might also mean more established young players and not prospects.
