Rasmus can be a leader and help their core progress. At this point Ras is more established, Fedetenko was like a 15 goal guy lol.

Aim high is what I am getting at. Settling on players because they are centers will keep us circling. And it sounds like that is what Craig is doing setting a high price.

Plese be Columbus. They are set to make a big move, and Rasmus actually fits very well there. They have 1 player over $7 mil contract. They need to add to get to the floor and have a ton of good players to throw into a deal.

Mateychuk coming back could make a ton of sense. Maybe Minnesota's 1st too.

They could use a veteran forward too. They should go all in now with that team.

If we got another 1st, this could really help us move up on draft day.

I would also love to cheer for him and Monny in Columbus

Columbus won't trade Mateychuk, and certainly not with Provorov set to be leaving in a few days.

Just because they have a deep pool of young talent doesn't mean they're dying to use that asset. The #2 pick is a pivotal piece for their rebuild.
That and if the Sharks were actually willing to trade the 2OA pick, they can get way more than just Andersson in deal with other teams.

Question is, would it be 14th or 20th overall in this draft going with Sillinger? I'd be okay with either.

That's a Cootes/Reschny/Kindle 18th OA, Zharkov at 20 and then swing for Ryabkin or Moore at 32. That's a pretty good round.

I disagree.

Sillinger, who isn't much of a player at the moment and a mid teens pick for a top pairing Dman?

Seems like an underpay.

sillinger would be a terrible unless he is being flipped.

He does fit an immediate need in Dallas.

Robertson San Jose
Andersson(50%) + 32 to Dallas
2nd OA plus something from Dallas to Calgary

Has there been a single player proposed in a trade that you DO like?

1) It is not "just Andersson". The Flames can offer Andersson plus upgrades to their D prospect pool.
2) What other team is offering a top pair RD that is as good or better than Andersson? Does that team have supporting assets that are better than the Flames?

Throwing it out there as a generalization is well and good but when you try to prove your claim it starts to fall on it's face.

I think if this was even being considered by the Sharks it would have to be 18 leaving us.

People need to give up on this Andersson for the 2OA trade string.

That's not Paulie's style. He reacts negatively to everybody's ideas. At least we've seen one of his own today..

Dallas would just take the 2OA from San Jose if Robertson was worth that.

Jason Robertson to be flipped. I am interested in in picks not 3rd and 4th liners for Andersson.

But picks and more picks, so you can use it to get better players.

My question is why do you like to settle on the middest of players.
