Scoring Winger

The main thing I remember about Poehling was people losing their minds about him after he scored a hattrick in his first NHL game.

Is Poehling basically a Frost?

Is Philly trying to ice the 'zero centers' strategy?

Yup. Players with perceived baggage seem to get dealt at a discount. Personally I was sure it was Seattle that would overpay with their first rounder but I guess they were smarter than that. Worthwhile gamble for Philly at that price. I think he’ll be the same player he is today going forward.

Pospisil + 2nd also may have done it.
Though the Philly 2nd is higher than the Flames 2nd.

Yeah Frost/Farebee equivalent.
Pretty cheap, but Zegras has lots of flags.
Pretty indifferent from the Flames perspective. I wouldn't of minded this deal, but I'm okay not making it too, if they don't think he's their guy.

Frost is younger, plays higher up the lineup, and has more offense than Poehling
Frost + 2nd would've been a far better return for Anaheim

Probably a premium Connie would have to pay for Anaheim to trade in division. Im not surprised in the least he has gone out east

I’d be curious to hear the inside scoop from one of the insiders here, if they were interested or not, and at what price.

I would have liked it from a Flames perspective. I would have even done frost but oh well.

The 2nd was originally Columbus' pick sent to Philly in the Provorov trade.
Flames 2nd is 48th OA but was sent to Philly in the Frost/Farabee trade.

Well, 4 months younger, which, at 25, is not material

My guess is they bought low on him being a center. Ducks fans on HF say he plays better there.

Not me. Zegras is good at one thing (offense) but isn't good enough at that to make up for everything else.
Pass.

He might not have wanted to come here as well.
