Or maybe Haliburton was the sacrifice for the last miracle comeback. Not over yet.

Congrats to the Thunder. Tough break for the Pacers losing Haliburton like that. People are gonna be debating "what ifs" off of that for years

Pretty cool to see SGA lead a team to a title.

Purely for a circumstance standpoint that has to be right near the top of most devastating injuries ever. Championship game and don't even get to 10 minutes and it's an injury that will cost him most, if not all, of next season too. East with three top players getting achilles injuries this postseason, it is going to be a very open conference next year.

Will be lots of questions of if Halliburton playing hurt contributed to the Achilles tear.
Happy for SGC and OKC as OKC fans deserved a title after having all of Durant, Harden and Westbrook and not winning one and losing all three of them.
But honestly I kind of wanted Indiana to win just because that franchise has been waiting almost 50 years for an NBA title now.

SGA did what KD could not do, bring a title to a small market team in OKC. Pretty cool to see a Canadian player do that.

SGA is a Flames fan?! Nice.
Just came into the thread to ask if the championship celebration seemed kinda muted to anyone else? Just seemed like some gentlemanly handshakes and some hugs and that was that. Was it respect for Halliburton?
I've grown apart from basketball in recent so I can't remember what it used to be like.

I would think it was because of Haliburton. Not often we see a team winning a championship the same night a guy is taken off the floor with a career altering injury.

Back to back aesthetically ugly champions. I suppose it's just a sign that he does his job well, but I ####ing hate Dort. That dive was so pathetic.

And he was cooking at the time. I doubt he was putting up 40, but it changes things entirely when OKC has to sell out a bit to stop him, even though they recover so damn well.
