Lobster Sub?
I saw an ad for this yesterday, and I'm thinking of trying it. Has anybody here tried the lobster sub that Subway has available? If so, how was it?
Obviously I'm not expecting "flown in fresh from Nova Scotia" quality, but I'd hate to buy it and find out it tastes like crap.

I have not tried it, but I saw this add and I know I will never ever try it. I avoid all sea food in Alberta, unless I know for sure it has been flown in fresh.
I think you are just asking for trouble if you eat this sub.

Having been thinking the same thing, would love to hear from someone who has tried it. Holy expensive, so don't want to waste the money on crap.

Why would you eat Lobster at a fast food joint? This sounds like a fast track to intestinal cancer.

8 bucks for a 6 inch 16 bucks for a footlong.
I passed because of the expense of the thing. Plus I think Subway has really gone down hill in the last couple of years.
Thier bread used to be amazing, now its generic.

I saw the six inches for 9 bucks (forget if it was the meal or not). Footlong was 16....if you wanted to double the lobster....18 for the six inch....and yes, 31 freakin' dollars for a footlong with double lobster.

I hope for that price it's not imitation lobster like they use in the crab sandwich!

I agree. As soon as they started offering all those different bread types they seem to have slipped.

There are fundamentally still only two types of bread, white and wheat. They put the other stuff on the bread just before it goes in the oven.

I tend to avoid subway. I might eat there once every year or two.
Did you know....you can get a McLobster at the McD's back east. My co-workers had a hard time believing me until I showed them some pictures online.

McLobstars are tastey.
Useless fact of the day. Lobstars used to be food for poor people. People of status would never be caught dead eating them. May have something to do with the bible saying not to eat this type of animal. Somehow this was switched around.

Well, I went and got one. Actually the higher price mentioned is what made me decide to try it- seeing as lobster isn't cheap I figured that seeing as the sandwich wasn't either; it would be a good buy.
Taste- I'd give it a 5/10. Pretty bland- to the point where at times it was pretty much like eating an imitation crab sandwich
Portion- 2/10. There is so little meat on this thing- you'd have to get double the meat for double the price to make it any good.
Value for the money- 3/10.
I might order it again if I had some coupon to get any sub for free. But that's about it.

Oddly enough, your poor review of the sub makes me more inclined to go buy one...Can lobster really be that bad? Kind of like insisting on smelling something you know is rancid.

I used to be a huge subway fan, but I've since become a fan of Quiznos subs...they just taste so much better.
Pretty sure I'm not gunna be trying this lobster sub based on the reviews here and the price

Why oh why would you even think of doing that with Lobster?
Let alone why you'd think of ingesting lobster from a fast food restaurant.
