I was listening to a podcast and some doofus from Calgary called and said he was getting ready for Stampede. The host asked him what that was and if it was a rodeo or something. The guy expected someone who grew up in New Jersey and now lives in California to know about our redneck wanna-be Mardi Gras. He was too wasted to explain it too. Embarrassing.

I think it was Ben from Meidas who said our fascism is not the same as their fascism or whatever (of course it isn’t, but I don’t know the fine points). Meloni has changed a lot and become one of Europe's most stable and pragmatic politicians. She has changed and matured in the role and the politics globally have also changed and aligned a little more with some of her thinking. She is also one of the few female leaders of a larger, modern economy so some decisions are unique to her views as a mother.
