OK. Universe still functioning as expected.
It's because they made it painfully difficult to cancel. When you buy a new car you typically get a free 3 month trial so I would cancel the service on my old car. Between waiting on hold and having to listen to sales pitches on keeping internet radio where they won't take no for an answer it can be incredibly frustrating.

Ya, my 'new to me' car has Sirius. Do I have to cancel in a few months? They wouldn't have my credit card or credit anything? You can't just sign someone up against their knowledge (unless its telus).

When I had it included, they called me to ask if I wanted to pay for it after the trial was over, and I told them to #### off.

No you don't have to cancel but they will have your contact information and they will be contacting you prior to the trial expiring. If you don't want it, there's not a lot they can do and they will just turn off the service at a specific date. If you play hardball you can get it for $10/month as I won't pay any more than that.

They took 20ccs of fluid out of my knee this morning, and I feel great! At first I thought it was the freezing and it would only be temporary, but that would have worn off a few hours ago. And I don't think cortisone works that quickly. I'll take the W.

Had just joined a line up at Walmart and the guy in front of me just turned around and paid for the groceries of the old man who was checking out beside us in the other line up. Didn't see if the old man was having issues with his card or anything but the guy in front of me was insistent. Old man was grateful and the guy just said to maybe buy a coffee for somebody else and pass it along.

I felt a little guilty for just checking out normally after that but kudos to the guy.

Did you find it presumptuous at all? Just curious.

There are some old people out there with more money than our generation can dream of, and they don't always look "rich".

To be honest, I had just joined the line and had not seen if the old gentleman was having trouble with payment or anything. Maybe that's why the person in front of me stepped up to do what he did.

The old guy did seem genuinely grateful (didn't look super well off). And I guess ultimately who am I to judge?

I have been in checkout lines where somebody is fumbling between cards and having issues. Maybe gives me pause in self reflection if my first reaction is annoyance rather than empathy if they are having financial troubles rather than just "not having their #### together and holding up the line".

I made the mistake of line switching at Costco yesterday. Right into the line with the two people in front of me who both had card issues. I chose....poorly.

Sometimes it's just about being kind. I just recently was lining up in a TH drive through for a coffee and hit the entrance nearly at the same time. She was technically first so I paused to let her go but she insisted me go first so I did and paid for whatever she was getting when collecting my coffee.

That's me at Superstore every weekend. It's crazy how I always pick the lines with people that need to price check or are just ultra slow at bagging and stuff. I even try and strategize by what's in their carts, what gender, race, etc and still always seem to get burned watching other people that were behind me check out on other lines while I wait.

There have been moments in the checkout line where i was tempted to interrupt the whole process and offer to pay, or give the person whatever savings the coupon that wasn’t scanning properly would have given.

Looking for recommendations for a dietary “cheat day”. Long story short I’m 100 days into a pretty good gym and diet routine and I wanna have a full on fat day. I’m good to eat almost any food from anywhere in the city, and yes I will drive all over if needed.

The only place I’m for sure going to is Seniores for a couple slices. After that the day is open.

Bonjour is looking like a solid pick for second lunch. Orchard would be a decent dinner choice.
