Also seems like Bennett is back for the Panthers. They must really want that home ice against the Lightning.
Even if it's not for Johnny, I don't want the Habs to make it!

During the 4 nations when they were cheering Crosby, it made me think that the Canadiens really have not had a high end skilled player in his prime for a really long time. Montreal is a place that really appreciates this type of player. Suzuki and Caufield are both excellent players, Suzuki is the first player they've had hit 80 points since Kovalev in 07-08. But Demidov might be a 100 point type that they have not had since like Guy Lafleur. Well Mats Naslund did it once...still that's 40 seasons ago.

It's the hottest take, but Chicago biffed HARD in the 24 draft taking Levshunov over Demidov. Imagine a decade of Bedard and Demidov..

Yeah. Always go with the guy with elite, superstar upside over the “good at everything but not elite at anything”. I know it can be a gamble but you have to take chances to get those players that are game breakers.

Wow, who knew playing the kids could work.

And even if they lose, they are excited for the future!

The Blackhawks are doing their very best to help the BJs out. Great game. The french announcres on both radio and television are ultra excited with Bedard and Demidov playing against each other.

Bennett and Barkov each have two points as the Panthers lead 3-2.

He’s just 19 playing huge minutes, and dmen take some years to develop. He had more points in college than Makar.

Now Demidov looks great, but Levshunov has done nothing but impress. He should be anchoring the Hawks blue line for years to come.

Let’s see where this sits in 3-4 years.

I do know the Hawks wanted both and tried hard to make it happen.

And a number of teams passed on Demidov. Lots of regret no doubt.

So Utah did save Vejmalka and started Villalta tonight. Looks like they don't intend to mail it in tomorrow.

The Flames are winning the games they needed to....

If it ain't broke? Why risk it.

We could say that if we weren't getting the results, but the Flames don't need energy injected the way they're playing. They're showing plenty of energy.

Probably the most important news in the OOT for me so far.

C'mon Utah! We gave you 3 wins this year and Tij Iginla, do us this large and it won't be forgotten

Chicago doing CBJ a favor so far, comeback from 2-0 down in the 1st and Demidov superlative hype. Now 3-2 Chi town in the 3rd with 13 mins left.

The Lindstrom pick was bad a player with back injuries already missing that many games and hasn’t even played this year.

Utah is giving me some faith. They've played well.

Just get it to OT. We'll take care of our end.

If the Habs completely blow this and somehow Columbus gets in, how epic of a collapse would that be?

Media has been talking about how if we get in we’d be only the 2nd team in the last 50+ years to get in being 5 points out with 4 games left. Columbus was 8 points out with 5 left in their schedule.

Yikes Oettinger... are you really the same goalie who almost single handedly beat us in the playoffs 3 years ago?
