The Flames need game breakers 100%. The team isn't going anywhere unless that happens.

I dont know. I actually think it does help if the owner is...maybe not 'disinterested' but rather 'hands off.'
I dont know Edwards or any of the rest of them, but I have seen no evidence to suggest that if the right move is available the wallet is not open. They spend. The Flames have clearly been willing to spend to the Cap when the opportunity presents itself.
One of the Hallmarks of a successful organization is, from the Top, you institute people that you trust and believe in and give them clear organizational goals and then....dont micro-manage them. Just let them do their jobs.
If they do them poorly....theres the door and we start over. Otherwise? Dont interfere.
I do the same thing with my employees.

Spending to the cap is encouraged with revenue sharing, it isn't anything special that Edwards is doing.

The best thing about a Flames win is that certain posters aren't around to complain about anywhing and everything for a bit like on Friday night...here's hoping
team was "an embarassment" all day until they laid the boots to Minny in a huge game and you know who was nowhere to be found. Lord help us if the Sharks win and the I told you so brigade is about.

In my limited experience working with management I do think the owner matters, it's not about "hands off" but rather boosting up the team. Edwards doesn't seem too interested in the sense that of course he wants to win but he doesn't seem dedicated at least from what I've read here.
I look at Florida as an example, it was a night and day difference when Viola bought the team. He demanded a certain standard constantly and kept people responsible, with a clear vision.

The Bruins were a consistent contender for about 15 years with two other final appearances
Only one team wins it but they were around it for an extended period
Can we not be so binary in our opinions including saying culture is BS?

Amazing culture just plug in Lindholm and Zadorov and it’s like having Bergeron and Chara again lmao.

If you trash the team all day and then hide when they win the biggest game of the year its pretty obvious what the motives are.

If Rory can win a Masters, the Flames can make the playoffs.
Let's go!

Haha! This team has been objectively amazing. They've played way better than 90% of fans expected. Whatever happens tonight and next week won't change that. The tank brigade is crazy because it's not an option for the Flames.
That said, I don't think Huska and the coaching team are beyond reproach. I hope next year they solve their scoring and start the season with better specialty teams.

Looks like the Sharks fans mostly want us to win and want the Blues to miss.
Seems they are huge Dustin Wolf fans as well. Who isn't?
