Default Do you guys ever regret spending money on certain things?

Like the t-shirt you had to have but only wore twice and now you don't like it.

Or the time (more than one in my case) that you spent more than a 100 bucks at the bar.

Or spending money on lunches that are 15 bucks when you can easily bring one from home. I am not that bad with this, but there are times when I spend 6 bucks on a useless jugo juice.

I am not to pleased now that I look back. I could have saved a few extra thousand bucks. Money that could really be usefull right now.

I've wasted money but I really don't care. Live in the present, not in the past. Don't beat yourself up about past purchases, it's just a waste of energy.

I always look around at the stuff at my room and think the same thing. Like my hat collection, there's like 60+ hats sitting on the top shelf there and I counted about 7 that I actually have worn more than once. I'm quite bad for the eating out part, I always spend too much when I go out and it happens way too often. I'm going to be going back to school soon and I really wish I saved some of that money since I can't work full time anymore when school starts. I could always sell my stuff on ebay but it feels like even more of a waste selling things for a fraction of the price of what I paid for. Money is easy to make but hard to keep.

Every time I get my Visa bill I regret it. However, I generally like all my purchases.

Useless gadgets bought on an impulse. Like the wireless web cam that was cheap on a Days of Dell Sale. Still not sure why I bought one. Food dehydrator sounded good at the time but I just never used it.

Unfortuntely, my Wii is falling into this category...

I think i've mamaged my money quite well over the years. However that doesn't mean I might have made the odd foolish purchase or two.

I tend to go a bit crazy on clothes from time to time. It's hard for me to go into Winners and not walk out with a shirt or two.

When it comes to big ticket items I don't buy on impulse. I tend to walk away and think about for a day or two. If I buy on impulse, in a lot of cases i regret the purchase and end up returning it.

I also try to avoid buying things on credit via the bank or through my credit card. I try to pay cash for most things. Buying a car and a house are the exceptions to the rule. Truth is I hate being in debt and having to pay interest on my loans.

There are only a few things I regret spending my money on, mostly it's the booze I only spent 9 months drinking heavily but looking back it was a waste. I also regret buying my guitar more so because of my lack of motivation to learn how to play it, I would love to play it but lessons are hard to fit into my time, and books never work because i"m a left and all the books seem to focus solely on righty's, that or I just don't understand the books. I also regret a few videogames I've bought, Path Of Neo, and GTA San Andreas I played both maybe 4 or 5 times. My wife might say my collection of Flames stuff may be a waste but I love it all, even my pen and pencil set that's shaped like a Flames golf bag, I show my support for my team and I don't regret spending any of that money.

Good god, don't get me started. I've wasted money on so many stupid things in my life it makes me sick to look back. I should be a multi millionaire with the oppurtunities I've had, but instead I'm a poor broke schmuck. If you want to learn how to be a total poor arse, PM me, I can give great advice on how to waste away every dollar you earn and have next to nothing to show for it.

Damn! What a tragically great post.

Personally I'm totally regretting one of those $100+ bar nights right now. Sometimes you just gotta celebrate, but it sure doesn't make the hangover any easier...

I don't smoke and stopped drinking years ago so that rules out the stupid stuff.

Hockey sticks and ice time can get expensive but no regrets there.
