There's also CPL for soccer, CEBL for basketball and WCBL for baseball in and around Calgary.

This is a great time to support the cpl and buy their tickets and merch. But if ppl want to support club de Foote or tfc or the whitecaps I don't see a problem with that. Or the raptors for that matter.

There are apps that can scan a barcode and say how Canadian it is. Buy Beaver is the best name. No idea how accurate or where they get their info from.

There's Shop Canadian, the brainchild of two software developers in Edmonton; Buy Beaver, which was dreamt up by two Montreal entrepreneurs; O SCANada, created by a mother and son in Calgary; and Maple Scan, an AI-powered tool made by a Calgary researcher. All four apps have a feature that lets shoppers scan an item's barcode to determine how Canadian it is.

I'm moving all of my cloud backups to Sync.com, a Canadian company. They've got a good sale going on right now too.

I've ordered parts from Rock Auto in the US quite a few times in the past but of course have started looking elsewhere.

Anyone familiar with Parts Avatar? Quick search shows they're Canadian and have warehouses in Missisauga and Calgary. Anyone place an order with these guys?

Also, just a reminder - Crave is a Canadian-based subscription service (owned by Bell Media), if you wanted to consider Canadian options for your streaming services.

I used it for brakes/pads. Good and cheap. My neighbor mechanic uses it all the time. I didn't know it was Canadian.

Pleased to announce I grabbed some fuel stabilizer this morning. Was about to walk to check out then checked the label. American, nope. Canadian product right beside it; took that one instead.

I'm trying to like Biosteel drinks. They aren't good. At least not the ones I've had.

I've been buying the same dog food from the US for 20 years. I can't switch now. You win Orange Rapist! It's like $125/bag.

Just curious, why are to trying to like them? It's not like a good peaty smoky scotch or something worth it.

What will happen if you switch dog food on your dog? It's a dog.

Almost certainly some short term gastric issues if swapped over without transitioning slowly. Worst case a surprise food allergy, not really a gamble worth taking on an elderly pet
