I think we can add the Wild to this now.

We're 6 points behind them with 2 games in hand and a head to head on April 11th + The Wild play 3 straight playoff teams (WSH, NJ, NJ)

Counterpoint: Markstrom. Should play at least one of those games, so an easy 2 pts in the bank for the Wild.

Looking at the Blues, I see MAYBE 3 losses remaining on their schedule. So they'll probably reach 95 points.

Flames just have to keep winning. There aren't going to be any easy paths to the playoffs.

Was just looking at this. The flames have the hardest part of their schedule schedule coming up (although maybe not as bad without McDrai). The Wild have two games against Hughes-less New Jersey.

If the Flames can pull off a big win against Colorado, that really secures Minnesota in that race imo though.

If he does play let's hope his history against them holds up.

Markstrom is toast, once he is on that mode, it’s a miracle for him to come out of it

He does appear firmly in his "I suck at hockey" mode at the moment.

If the Blues could lose a game or two that would be just great.

At this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if the Flames finished 14th overall but missed the playoffs.

No matter how you slice it the Flames are going to have to get some wins against the top 10 teams like Col, Dal, Vegas, LA, Edm. There’s no easy nights for the rest of the season. If they make the playoffs they will have definitely earned it.

When's the last time we beat Colorado? Seems like forever and they always thrash us.

Updated with Minnesota and Utah.

Utah needs to string a ton of wins in a row to stay alive. Pretty much can only lose upward of 2-3 games the rest of the way.

Yeah, Colorado is my scheduled loss, but Dallas on a back to back and Edmonton without McDavid are games they need to win.

Relevant games tonight for both the playoffs and draft pick implications.

Canucks @ Islanders
Devils @ Blackhawks
Stars @ Oilers

If the Canucks and Oilers lose that will help the Flames playoff chances. The Blackhawks upsetting the Devils would help the draft pick from NJ, Also an Islanders win would put some additional pressure on the Devils pick.

If the Flames can win 2/3 then we will have in effect tied the Blues in the standings, and likely push past them due to the tie breaker.

It's just hard due to the fact our next three are among the most difficult of the rest of the schedule.
