Lando is dumb. Just terrible risk/reward decision, while pissing away any expectation that Piastri will defer in similar situations in the future. Not that he could really expect that from Oscar, but more from a team dynamics standpoint that he can't expect the team to enforce orders on Oscar.

It'll be interesting to see if there are team radio transcripts out there. Lando must have known that Oscar had the same problem, but that doesn't make it any less dumb.

I don't understand. What made Lando dumb today?

Seems the brake pedal issue was on his car only. He never really made in grounds to catch him prior to the pedal issue.

As for team orders this season. I'm assuming it's race eachothers brains out and may the best man win but make sure you're not taking undue risks that put the constructors at risk or losing one or both cars on a stupid dive bomb.

I thought Lando did quite well today being aggressive on Russell both times today. And did well enough being a strong deterrent/defender against Oscar and Max in Australia.

Early indications he's learned to expect anything from those he is racing against team mate or not, and to get his elbows up.

Trying to chase down Oscar in his own wounded car (and making very little progress), instead of managing down his 8 second gap to Russell. It sounded pretty sketchy by the end, but we'll never know how critical it actually was.

I thought the first message about brake problems was with Oscar, but I'm probably just wrong on that.

The thing to remember with those chase down attempts - especially on the leader - is that they're almost always able to just punch out some more pace as soon as it becomes necessary. It's futile against the same car with the same age tires.

Also, oh Ferrari.

Yuki must be pissed. That strategy from RBs cost him points today. Antonelli is doing well. Good for Haas! Double points. Jesus Christ Ferrari. You incompetent ####s. McLaren is a rocket ship. Lawson is cooked. Lance with a couple decent drives.

New surface. It was always going to be a tyre management race.

Default Ferrari is stupid

Results from the China GP! Lol Ferrari...how the F is the team always so stupid. Check the damn skid blocks after the Sprint race and confirm weights. It's comical with them. Maybe its part of their genius plan to help out Haas, lol. 4D chess.

Congrats this week goes to FleuryisGod taking top spot with 2 slotted and 7 top 10 picks. KelVarnsen takes second with 2 and 6. KelV remains atop the leader board with a 2pt lead over FleuryisGod.

Spoiler!

Sounds like the Yuki-Lawson swap is a go. Which is probably for the best for Lawson's career (see Gasly and Albon). And it'll be fun to see how it goes for Yuki...especially the radio calls

It’s pretty much a free roll for Yuki. If he does well, fantastic. If he doesn’t, heads will roll at Red Bull and it won’t be his.

Man I really want Yuki to succeed, but also want Red Bull to get a little dose of reality. And for Marko to get put out to pasture.

I could be wrong, but I always thought Yuki had a smoother driving style, and the Red Bull seems to need a lot of aggressiveness, like taming a stallion. I think Yuki might not be the driver for this car.

I am not a believer in the swap but I get it why red bull would do it. If Yuki does get into the team, i think atleast we can have some fun hearing the radio calls and someone who can aggressively chase down Verstappen as well.

Frickin what's his name said they build both cars according to Max's spec. So it's always going to be nose heavy and super sketchy rear end. Tough for any driver to handle unless you're max Verstappen.

Adrian Newey? But that is easily the pointiest/hardest car in the field to drive. I've seen a few videos on how Max's style is so different than other drivers. The new guys (Lec, Alb, Gas, etc.) have all learned the smooth in/out and hit the apex style in a "C" whereas Max drives straight in and "V" shapes the corner to exit ASAP. So he needs that super responsive/over-steering car.

I think Yuki is a terrible choice TBH. He's an absolute hot head who I think will flame out like the other drivers when he gets super frustrated. And this is all on RBR for not giving their younger guys time to learn the car. 2 races for Lawson when he's hardly driven an F1 car in 2 years is so stupid. And Marko needs to just go away, he's the Don Cherry of F1.

Its gonna be funny to see Lawson beat Yuki at his home race next race...anyone up for a wager ?

Alonso might be the only driver in the field that can handle a max style car. Because he can drive almost anything on the edge.
