That I remember, they had a game in Winnipeg in 23 when the Jets were tanking and we thought maybe they flames would sneak in.

I got a weird feeling about this one. Flames are riding a small high. They have 6 of 8 possible points in the last 4. Vancouver is sliding a bit with two in a row. Vancouver is on a back to back. It’s in Calgary. It feels like this is leaning towards a Calgary win but that’s what makes me nervous.

4 point game between two teams fighting for the same playoff spot near the end of the season? This is playoff hockey tonight! Should be awesome. Flames win this, they put themselves in a very nice situation to stay ahead of the flailing, inconsistent confused mess that is Canucks today.

Mike Bullard - always liked him.

I think the odds are so low because they haven't accounted for Dustin Wolf. Historically, teams who are last place in scoring almost always finish right near the bottom.

But Wolf is defying odds with his level of play. It really is a Hart type of year he is having as a rookie goaltender.

-Opportunity to put space between them and lower teams in the playoff race
-Opportunity to demoralize a chief rival even further
-Playing against a team on the second of back-to-back, with travel, and three out of four overall.

Everything fiber of my four-decade-plus fandom tells me this is guaranteed loss night.

Prove me wrong, boys! Prove me wrong!

(EDIT--Agree with VanFlamesFan re: what's making me nervous!)

Sportsclubstats was far better and far more accurate

Also, I agree thats why but the Flames have scored more than Vancouver in 2025

Hughes is still DTD, but he didn't play last night. The Canucks without Quinn Hughes are not so great. The Flames need to come out hard for this one and get a goal early.
