I was going to get it on Fanatical but decided to wait and see what this month's Humble Bundle would be. Went and checked today and both editions are sold out.
Just an update on this. Green Man Gaming has it on sale for even cheaper than Fanatical. I made sure this time to buy it right away.
Oh 100%. When the first trailer dropped in December 2023, I automatically added about 2.5 years for when I think it'll come out. I learned my lesson from the GTA V release.

The thing is, they didn't want to release a trailer yet, they were forced as someone was leaking footage. That makes me think that even 2026 is optimistic. There has been nothing since the forced trailer.

Yep good point. Speaking of which, it's actually impressive how there's been zero leaks ever since that initial one back in late 2023. That R* NDA must be something else.

I finished Black Myth Wukong last week. Or at least my first playthrough of it. I'll probably do another run, and try to do all the boss challenges, but I haven't started them yet as this week hasn't had much video game time.
Highly recommend the game for people into Elden Ring or other FromSoft style games. It took me a long time to get even marginally good at this game, as dodging has never been my preferred combat style. I thought I might never get past the final boss, but then after probably 50+ tries I had a magical run where everything went nearly perfectly and I finally got to the end scene.
One thing I particularly liked about this game was the ability to respec your character on the fly as many times as you want. Customizing your abilities for different bosses was cool, and it let you try out different strategies without any punishment of lost progress.
Oh my goodness, this game is killing my productivity. I picked it up on my phone on the weekend and can't put it down.
The game is definitely more addictive than crack. Too bad I can't ever get past level 5. As soon as the goal is around $20k to win, I simply don't have what l need to generate that kind of money.
I've read a hundred guides and the general consensus is to obviously use the appropriate jokers and get the high multiplyer. But I almost never get any good jokers. Do you just have to grind away until you eventually acquire the good ones? I read the achievement list and I'm like how the hell am I ever going to get any of these, when I can't even get past level 5
You do need a decent few jokers to get past 8 but nothing crazy rare, you just have to play to the strengths of the first one or two to get a build that works together going. I found that trying to work towards builds that rely on just a pair worked well when I was starting out. Pairs are easy to make compared to most other hands and instead I rely on the jokers' properties to scale my score. There's a joker that gives +20 multiplier when 3 or less cards played, goes great with pairs. Same with the one that gives chips when you have discards remaining, no need to discard to find a pair.
I assume you know generally how the score gets calculated and the difference between a + multiplier and an X multiplier.. you will eventually need some X multipliers to get up there in score.
Economy is pretty important too, it makes finding things easier or adjusting your deck easier. I really try to keep above 10 coins so I'm getting some decent interest. Plus lets you take advantage of the arcane packs and the Hermit which doubles your $$.
Focus on your hand you want to build on and use the planets to increase the level of that hand, that's pretty important (again depending on your build).
Eventually you want to either manipulate your deck to increase your score with cards that have chips/multipliers when they score or with steel cards that increase your score when held in hand.. or deleting cards you don't want to increase the chance you draw what you need.
Skipping blinds is really tempting but the benefit has to be there.. I rarely do it unless it's something really good like a rare Joker and I don't have a build going, or my economy is poor and everything in the next shop is free.
Always know what the boss is, some bosses can destroy a build. There's one boss that reduces the level of a hand.. which I thought ok that's fine but no it PERMANENTLY reduces the level for your whole run!! Sometimes the wrong boss comes and that's all.
I've won with all the basic decks and am currently trying to get through the higher difficulties to unlock the rest.. when you unlock yellow it gets a bit easier cause that starts with a free $10 which makes it easier to get going.
Keep at it and you should eventually improve.
My best hand is 1,600,000,000, eventually you need to create an engine that repeats things over and over to get the crazy scores but I find generally that's not needed to win the 8th ante though it's getting harder on the harder stakes.

Thanks for making me feel dumb. I have over 100 hours in the game and my best hand is around 25,000,000. I need to get 100,000,000 to get the final joker. I can't figure out how to those ridiculously high scoring hands and I don't want to look for strategies online because a lot of them feel like cheating.
I meant the jokers are designed to be combined in certain combinations so I don't really call it cheating.
I kind of lucked into that high score a bit as I had a Mime which retriggers in hand cards and had been adding steel cards when I could (the death tarot is super powerful, it removes an unwanted card and creates a wanted card). Then I got a Blueprint which basically copies the following Joker. I also lucked out and got a few negative Jokers that run too I think I had 8 total at the end. But part of it was having a build with a specific goal in mind and then getting the one piece that really broke it open.. and having the $$ to be able to roll for that.

By cheating I meant using known winning seeds and stuff like that. Getting the right joker combo is a mix of skill and luck.I'm not sure if I'm lacking one or the other, or both.

Oh yeah I tried a few seeds and they were kind of fun (one where I got like 3 legendary jokers right away) but I don't think you can unlock decks with them and I'd like to at least unlock all the different types of decks.

I like card and deck building games, even though I kinda suck at them (I don't think I'll ever reach ascension 20 on Slay The Spire), but for some reason Balatro clicked for me. I was able to unlock everything and beat gold stake with every deck. The only achievement I'm missing is Completionist++, which is to get the gold stake chip for every joker, but I don't hate myself enough to give that one a serious run
Jeez that's impressive, I'm still working in trying to get to gold stake with just one deck!
I don't have all the jokers unlocked I should probably look at what I have to do to unlock the rest, I still have like 14 of them locked and the conditions are unusual enough I should probably do a run focused on meeting them, there's probably some powerful jokers I'm missing.

I had posted this in another thread, but this is likely the right place for it. Does anyone know of a vintage console collector in the city? I have a couple of Atari 2600 consoles, an Intelivision, and a pile of games for both. I even have two sets of 16 Atari games still in original shrink wrap/boxes. From looking online I believe there is a good market out there but thought I’d start with a local dealer/collector. Likely best to PM me with contact details as I don’t head here that often.

I'd say with a collection like that sealed you head to a bigger event in the US. It's very impressive with all the shrink wrap, etc. Could be big $$$.

Finally started getting good at this once I figured out the multiplayer system and the various booster types. Beat my first Ante the other day. Feels Goodman!
