Any trade that makes the East more difficult for Treliving and the Leafs is a good trade but man that's an incredible haul for the Kraken.

Good for all teams involved. Now I want to see the Flames do some stuff.

BriseBois has no fear. He sees something he wants and he goes and gets it.

Okay, if that's the price. I think the Flames can upset the locker room and make some moves.

Late firsts won’t play in the NHl for 3-5 years at which point TBs window has most likely closed / is closing

But wow talk about getting assets . Where were these offers for Tanev and Hanifin last year !

Tampa's gambit is similar to the LA Rams -- that other teams vastly overvalue late first round picks. Makes sense for a perennial contender, and is probably even more true for the NHL given the age at which players are drafted. Eventually you end up paying the piper, but the Rams were able to navigate it pretty well and I'd guess Tampa will be just fine.

Don't think Gourde is a toss-in. Think they want him. Eyssimont was okay last year but just 10 points this year.

This is exactly what the Kraken needed as they really need to take their medicine, go back to the drawing board and stock the cupboards with more young talent. Catton was a start but they need talent everywhere.

I don't know if it is, Gourde is a known commodity so his value to TB is over inflated.

Gourde is a playoff guy and a Coleman and Backlund type player. IMO he's better than Bjorkstrand.

Love this trade for both teams. Tampa is a threat to win another cup now.

Seattle has Wright who is near a PPG for the last 40 games getting 13 mins a game. He needs more ice, and they also added Kakko for way less than what they got for Bjorkstrand and Gourde. Kakko also has been playing very well in Seattle.

Seattle also is in striking distance for 3rd last OV. Nice little rebuild year without needing to be SJ or Chicago bad.

I don't think he's worth that 2nd round pick. 33 years old coming off hernia surgery this week. Scored 11 goals in 80 games last season. He's fine depth but I don't think teams were lining up to trade for him this week.
