TBH already seems too long. I see a star goalie and a star prospect and a bunch of guys who are nice supporting cast. If you start adding the vets or lesser prospects to the untouchable list... what are we doing here?

Looks like a different team in the second.

Too bad no finish.

Amazing how fast the amen can get to a pick down the ice when there’s a race versus an uncontested pick they think might go for icing

Untouchables should be Wolf and Parekh and that is it.

I find the term "untouchable" kind of amusing.

Are you telling me that Chicago offers Bedard for Parekh and the Flames wouldn't entertain it?

Why would you trade Zary or Coronato? What do you think you are getting for them that’s better and meets your “blow it up” philosophy?

The Flames really need to do this. They need to capitalize on using retention with a good asset to get some high end assets back. I love Ras, but signing him here long term is not a good thing.

I think we really overrate Zary here, but Coronato should absolutely be a keeper. He has a big motor and always seems to be in scoring areas and that shot release is elite. He is far far more valuable than Zary.

Thanks. Would like to keep all of those guys for sure (barring some ridiculous overpay of course). So my second attempt at an untouchables list would probably be:

Wolf
Coronato
Zary
Bahl
Parekh
Weegar
Frost

Puck over glass where they are all batting at it is a very weak penalty there. Even if a Flame touched it last it’s hardly in the spirit of the rule.

Yep. No one is ever untouchable if you’re doing the job right.

Two perfect examples on the last two plays of how passively the Flames play and how it just invites the other team to make things happen. Pospisal had a chance to be third man in fore checking on Hall to try and keep the puck deep. Instead he backs way off and the entire team let's Hall skate unimpeded out of the zone.

Then in our end Zary starts to pressure a cane at the point and realizes he's will be a couple feet outside of his "zone" so he backs off and allows that player to move the puck deep which lead to that penalty.

This is not a winning style of hockey.

It is misleading if taken too literally. There is no player in the league that is untouchable for the right trade. I think it’s supposed to be implied that it would take a very high (virtually ridiculous) return for the GM to trade an untouchable player.

Moving anyone <25yrs old who's currently in the lineup seems incredibly shortsighted unless you have a really good idea of who you're replacing them with
