I can now say that Calgary did inquire, but Jones didn’t want to come to Calgary.
No pieces were ever discussed from Calgarys side.

What am I missing?
Seems like a terrible trade for Florida. Knight is young and has been good. Bob is old and only signed for another year.
Jones at 7 million isn't worth Knight alone to me.

That seems like a crazy overpayment. Knight has been (marginally) better than Bob this season, and Bob's not getting any younger either. And a 1st for Jones, who doesn't really move the needle imo.
Maye Ekblad on his way out now for something else?

There’s been long standing rumblings of Ekblad being expendable in Florida.
I know Florida doesn’t want to lose Bennett, so perhaps Ekblad is moved sooner rather than later.
