It appears I was wrong. It wasn't a joke and McDonalds on Edmonton Trail in Edmonton gave it's location the name McDavids for one day

LOL being +44 (now +47) on a team that has essentially scored twice as many goals as it has allowed is not something to get super excited for.
Though it’s early, O’Reilly would definitely be a second rounder in a redraft. And maybe not even the first half of the 2nd round.

I think in truth he's likely a mid 2nd rounder, as he was originally projected. Flames do however have 2 defenceman in the same league with more assists than he has points (one of whom also has more goals)

Oilers hacks beefing up their duds, because that's all they have in the system now.
If the Flames had drafted him along with every one else they took in 2024, he'd be 6th best pick in that draft.

I actually don't mind the player as a prospect and points aren't everything (but need to be looked at seriously for first round forwards)
he would be 8th in PPG if he was in the Flames 24 draft class
