Needed a save on one of the two goals. Especially the first. These two teams always play low scoring and in the past two olympics Canada had the better goalie. Not anymore.

That wasn't a great game after the first period.
Canada needs to figure their s### out in the offensive zone. A team this top heavy shouldn't be scoring a single goal against their rivals.

Both team played fairly flat the second half of the game. Makes me wonder if the flu is going around.

Quite the job by USA to shut that game down once they took the lead, Canada couldn't do anything. They somehow managed to make that game boring.

Don’t think Helly had much work to be honest. They better figure that out.

Do we control our destiny? What if Sweden beats USA? And we win in regulation?

US with 6 points is in the final, and the other 3 teams have 2 points each. A must win for all 3 teams to get to the final.

Feel like Team Canada could've assembled a higher floor with their roster. Also more speed.
I did like Bennett though. He probably deserved more ice. The top dogs did not have it.. at all.

How? Matthews, Hughes and the Tkachuks were held in check quite effectively. The USA certainly played well defensively too. Hellebuyck was better than Binnington, who gave up the bad first goal and that was the difference. Outside of that Binnington was solid, too.
That was a close game that was also very frustrating because of the way it was played. I think you just have to be able to roll 4 lines against these guys and you cannot do that unless you split McDavid, Crosby and MacKinnon, and probably have Point as your 4C.
