Calgary Flames GM Craig Conroy Still Wants To Add That Right Shot Center

The Calgary Flames continue to hunt for the playoffs in the Western Conference. Calgary is battling for the final wild-card spot in the West, along with the Vancouver Canucks. Therefore, Flames General Manager Craig Conroy rewarded his club by trading for Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost.

What will the Flames salary cap look like in two years?

Brad Treliving left behind a large mess for Conroy to clean up and he has done just that.
He’s moved out pending unrestricted free agents in Tyler Toffoli, Nikita Zadorov, Elias Lindholm, Noah Hanifin, Chris Tanev, Jacob Markstrom and Andrew Mangiapane.
But the heavy lifting isn’t done. Conroy and the rest of the front office staff are going to have to make some key decisions in the 2025 off-season.

A look at how Flames prospects are doing in their respective leagues

Snow family touched by Pelletier's parting gesture after Flames trade

As soon as Cohen Snow heard Jakob Pelletier was traded, he grabbed his phone to send an important message to Flames general manager Craig Conroy.

“He texted Craig right away and gave it to him,” chuckled Kelsie Snow of her 13-year-old son.

“All he wrote was, ‘Noooooo, Pelts!’

Flames remain in driver’s seat in playoff race with Canucks

Gang, there’s a pretty good chance that the Calgary Flames will remain in the race for a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs until the final night of the regular season.

Looking forward to hearing about how great the Leafs are all night. Boy it would be nice to stick it to Tre. He left the team in absolute shambles and Connie has done an incredible job piecing together a competitive roster from the scraps. Go Flames.

Hopefully the Flames show up and smoke the Leafs.

It would be great getting Bahl back. I have a feeling we don’t see him until after the break.

Apologies if I missed this info in the OP but what is the Flames home record of late against the Leafs? Feels like this is one that slips away often.

I’m sure they’ll also somehow manage to work in the obligatory McDavid praise.

In the last 10 at the dome (dating back to Nov. 2017) the Leafs are 8-2.

The 10 previous to that, the Flames were 9-1

I hate when Toronto is playing at Dome. It’s like the invasion of obnoxious vulgus. Worse than Oilers’ game here and those are intolerable.

Second consecutive game where the opponent has been sitting waiting for us for 3 days - this time they were waiting in CGY!

Need to beat these arrogant bastards.

And give Treliving the finger.

I've been going to hockey games for 30 years. This is my first Leaf game at the dome.

Appreciate the support I know what I'm getting myself into.

I must admit to being a bit worried after his slow start (offensively anyway) this season, but he is just on a different level than any other CHL defenceman right now.

Well let's look at it
1. Celebrini - kid looks fantastic. Better than I thought he would. Might be a better player than Bedard overall. So you take him
2. Levshunov - too early to write him off but never thought he had the same level of upside.
3. Sennecke - tough. Might take him over Zayne
4. Lindstrom - too many injuries. Take Zayne
5. Demidov - looks fantastic. Probably take him
6. Iginla - winger. Take Zayne.
7. Yakemchuk - Just not as good as Zayne. Take Zayne
8. Catton. Centre which matters but probably a 2nd line centre. Take Zayne

And then you hae Silayev, Dickinson and Buium in play after Zayne. I take Zayne over Silayev and Dickinson (stats are impressive but I just don't think offense comes nearly as naturally to him) but not necessarily Buium. But Buium has signability concerns perhaps.

So i think I would place Zayne at #5ish with Macklin, Demidov, Sennecke and Buium/Levshunov maybe ahead of him.
