Look at the date on his birth certificate. All prime years.

And you can offer it before he has a breakout season.

Dion was the best young D in thr NHL until he wasnt...there is always risk. If EP gets back to 100 points his contract is a bargain.

All this being said the tweet is clickbait they arent trading Clarke anyway.

Pettersson was the best young C in the NHL until...well, never mind. He never was and never will be.

Wait, what? Not even for the $92.8 million superstar Pettersson?

If I was Blake I'd be reclining my chair laughing at the mess they made up there, but as I said earlier he strikes me as one of the less intelligent GMs in this league.

I don't know why you are being so combative...is Clarke your cousin or something? EP had a 102 point season as a 24 year old center in the NHL...VERY FEW players can say that he for sure was one of the top young centers in the league. I mean he had 89 last year in a supposed off year. There is obviously something very wrong in Vancouver right now but he didn't just forget to play hockey.

I think your totally right on this one, he's gonna be a guaranteed offensive superstar, probably after about 2 more seasons. I would guess a perennial 70+ point dman.

You reminded me of that Pettersson season a couple posts after you mentioned the Dion Phaneuf career arc. A bit ironic.

I'm not sure why you take it to be combative. A 21-year-old top 10 D pick who is already in the NHL and playing like he belongs for $864k is less valuable than a 26-year-old making $11.6 million? And the former has more assists than the latter. That's a heck of an argument.

Perhaps something is very wrong in Vancouver because he's in the middle of it?

We have seen countless high end players get out of bad situations and bounce back. Guy had 102 points playing center in the NHL at 24 and was over PPG at 25 LAST YEAR. All I am saying is you are grossly under rating the value of Petterson.

For $11.6 million? You're smart, how much do you think he's worth?

$6.6? Sure, there's value there at that level. I still wouldn't give up Clarke for it. $12.6? A total joke. What's your valuation?

Depends if you think he is gonna bounce back to 100 points, PPG, or what he this season.
I think is contract is fine at PPG, its a bargain if he gets back to 100 points. 100 point center under 30 will cost you 14M plus.

Obviously if he doesn't get back to that he is overpaid but I bet he gets moved and goes on an absolute tear. I also never said I would make that deal just that you are massively under rating Petterson's value around the league. I promise you teams are interested.

$6.6M?

Posters want to give Zary 8 years at $8M.

He’s on pace for about 40 points.
