The Fake Olympics break will help guys like Ovi tremendously. A mid-season rest period for those high mileage chassis will refresh them for the stretch.

Good test for Wolf going against Ovi and his deadly high one timers

Huska loves rolling 4, and cycling through his pairs. There is a not small chance those 2 are in fact out there with Ovi on the ice tonight.

A few times.

Yep.

I'm curious if Barrie pairs with Weegar?

Miromanov had that initial success at the end of last season with Weegar but seems to struggle against the harder matchups this year. He's signed through next season so getting him going would be beneficial.

He might be better suited for 3rd pairing but Pachal has been solid. Has Huska tried switching Miro and Pachal? Weegar likes playing on that left side.

Something like (Assuming everyone is healthy)

Bahl - Andersson
Weegar - Pachal
Bean - Miromanov

Bean-Miromanov would be less than ideal.

Pat posted the lines. Apparently its

Bean-Weegar
Barrie-Pachal

Barrie on his off side will also be interesting.

A blueline with all of Hanley, Bean, and Barrie in.

That defense is horrific.

It's going to take a really strong effort tonight to get any points out of this one.

Yep ...

And this team could be in trouble if Bahl is out to the 4 Nations (7 games)

I was pretty happy when the Flames signed Bean being a Calgary guy with lots of potential. He’s been a real disappointment and I’d like to see him disappear along with Barrie.

Yeah...they either really have no faith in any of Poirier / Kuznetsov / Solovyov or just wanted to at least give the guys they had one game...because that's ugly.

Huska said today that Bahl is still being evaluated but it sound like positive progress. (Pat tweeted this, I can't post tweets at the moment) Here's hoping its only a game or two.

I have no problem with Bean, he's a solid 6/7 guy.

But when you need to move him up the lineup, you're in troube
