The play should have been blown dead right there, but instead the refs let the Oilers continue to press as they still had possession. The refs decided to put the whistles away which at first was 100% to the benefit of the Oilers.

Fans and media completely ignore this. McDavid started the whole thing. It’s baffling how they’re all yelling from the rooftops that “IF THE REFS JUST DID THEIR JOB THIS WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED”. Yeah, by giving McDavid a penalty, not Garland

They used to. It was called having Semenko, McClelland, Lumley, McSorley on the roster.


If McDavid doesn't want to get hit then the Oilers should dedicate 2 or 3 roster spots specifically for goons.

The current Oilers are about the opposite. Remember a week or so ago when Zadorov ran the goalie. I think Bouchard gave him a dirty look, everyone else looked completely disinterested in standing up for Skinner.
