For singles play. Our most consistent and reliable hope remains Gaby Dabrowski in women's doubles who along with her partner Erin Routliffe are still in the tourney.

Leylah is also still competing in doubles with her partner Nadiia Kichenok.

I'm not going to say Leylah is at a cross-roads here because I thought she played a pretty good match last night. Coco was just in the zone and I think even Iga, Aryna, or Elena would have likely gone down to defeat as well. I do have some concerns though:
1. Leylah's serve - Need to fix that janky service motion which I realize is not going to be easy, but better to do it sooner than later. Pointing her front foot directly at her opponent and then twisting to try to get more coil/body rotation is just no bueno.
2. Camping on the baseline - While it's not a bad strategy to try to take time away from your opponent, you are also taking time away from yourself and against big hitters like Gauff, it just doesn't work because the ball is on you too quickly and leads to unforced errors. Also applies to receiving position when receiving serve.
3. Needs more variation in her game - I'm not suggesting that Leylah turn into a pusher, but she needs to change the height, speed, and spin of her ground strokes to keep her opponent off balance.
Just some of my thoughts.

You're bang on with the serve improvements and variation. Adding some high bouncers and slices more regularly would do wonders for her game.
I do feel like a player like her with limited power does need to be up on the baseline though. This wouldn't be such a bad tactic if opponents weren't so sure of what is coming all of the time but she needs to find ways to deal with that. It's definitely time to make a change.

Monfils!! 38 years old! That part of the draw is wide open now with Fritz and Medvedev gone!

One of Monfils/Shelton Sonego/Tien will be in the semis.

Pleased to see Tien continue his run by taking out Moutet, the Frenchman is such a clown with his antics including his extended grunting which was obviously being done to try to throw the kid off. Credit to Tien though, he kept his composure and played a great match.

So we're getting Djokovic vs. Alcaraz which is always a treat.

Sinner vs. Rune later today in my opinion is a popcorn match as well. At least I hope it is.

Most likely a small/kids sized popcorn, but a cramped Rune might just start blasting and extend things for a set

Keep an eye on Victoria, she appears to be fully fit after battling through some injuries and racking up titles on the ITF circuit. Bright future ahead for the 18 year old.

Death, taxes, and Gaby Dabrowski being the last Canadian standing at a grand slam, Nice win just now with Erin Routliffe over Haddad Maia and Siegemund.

Rune has levelled the match with Sinner at 1 set apiece, but the more concerning thing for the Italian is he is laboring out there (i.e. not moving very well which is leading to some uncharacteristic unforced errors).

Sinner just had a MTO five games into set 3 - It could be a stomach issue or a hip issue and possibly both.
