Well she did come out and dismiss it by calling it "Hilarious"
Maybe step outside your bubble.
Yeah, that was a while ago, before he said he’d look at economic force to make it happen. For me, that “he’s got a great sense of humour!” isn’t enough.
Potential impact:
A) nothing
B) gets a great deal for Alberta, but nothing for rest of Canada
C) gets a great deal for Alberta, negatively impacts the rest of Canada by giving up a trading chip
D) gets a better deal for all of Canada
E) greaser the wheel for Alberta as 51st state
I’m thinking B or C are the most likely followed by A, E, and D a distant last. Admittedly B is an ok outcome since it reduce the damage to the overall Canadian economy. It might be hard to distinguish between B and C though.

The interesting thing here is that going to visit Trump is the right move because stroking his ego is the best strategy to use to with someone like him. Problem is I don’t think for a second that that’s Smith’s motivation for going.
It’s not. According to her staff she is officially on a family vacation. These meetings are crazy coincidences.

An leader will have to deal with a variety of personalities, it's their ability to manage those personalities that is a reason that makes them great.
This story isn't finished, so we will see how it plays out.
Our Prime Minister based on his comments seems to struggle with managing of diverse personalities, yet he is the one who says diversity is our strength.

The handling of Trump in his first administration was widely regarded as good by Canada and Trudeau though. I get that you hate him, and that’s fine, but it doesn’t change the facts. Canada dealt with the tariffs and challenges that Trump brought about last time very well.
And, I’ve seen enough from Smith to know she’s nowhere near great. We can just strike that idea from the start here.

I don't hate Trudeau, I don't agree with his worldview and i think his goverment made a lot of bad decisions and set this country back.
I wasn't making a comment about Trudeau's handling of Trump from his first term but merely his remarks in the last few weeks.
I don't mind Smith but i also understand that misogynist is alive and well in politics.

Oh, it’s not misogynistic at all. She just offers nothing of value. I couldn’t possibly care less about her gender. The reality is, her government is deplorable and caters to the far right wing, which I wouldn’t support no matter who the leader was. Her social conservatism is filled with hate. Her constant attack against the federal government is juvenile. And fiscally, despite oil prices being stable and at a good level, this government can’t balance the budget. It’s just a complete calamity no matter how you look at it.

It will be A. Trump most likely doesnt care that he met her, he enjoyed that someone showed up at his club to bend the knee but beyond that it will have zero effect on what he does.
But good news for her, busboobs got to meet her hero on a vacation that taxpayers will likely be paying for.

Look, I am no fan of Trudeau, but I'm not sure what remarks he has made in the last few weeks that would be considered objectionable regarding the new Trump administration. Educate me.

I don't frequent Fox news much, what a jolly little fellow that interviewed Smith. Some may say hand picked. A little bit creepy too, no?

Is she attacking the federal government or defending from it.
Seems to me all of the conflict is in response. Typically to Guilbeault.
I’m not sure I’ve seen an open preliminary attack from AB?

Defending from what? The subsidized daycare? Pharmacare and a dental plan? I suppose she’s protecting our cities from getting federal money, because we all see how terrible that would be.
Her entire agenda is this ridiculous notion of Alberta separating, and that’s exactly why she can’t be trusted to be down talking to Trump.
