As far as I can tell by looking at the schedules for the Flames and the Kings, there are ZERO days between now and the end of the regular season for which both the Flames and the Kings are not playing, AND which doesn't put at least one of the teams into a 3 games in 3 nights situation.

Likely has to be some moving around of other games to get this game in.

EDIT:

Both teams are currently scheduled to play their last game of the regular season on April 15th. Other teams are playing regular season games until April 17th. The Kings play the 14th and 15th already - so the easiest option for the NHL is to play this game on April 17th.

Looks like Crypto is available the 17th and 18th - so should be possible to schedule a game in that window.

The Kings will have already secured their playoff spot, and will dress their entire AHL team. The Flames will win the game, moving them from 23rd in the standings to 22nd. FLA will once again go the the SC finals. The Flames' will thus move from drafting 10th overall to drafting 31st or 32nd.

Cypto.com arena appears to have not a lot of dates booked in that window - likely for potential playoff dates.

So my guess is that this game gets played on April 17th.

Lakers have a 5 game home stand starting tomorrow. If any of those games get cancelled, it will be a nightmare re-scheduling anything into a fully booked Crypto Arena

Also, I see how my avatar could look fairly insensitive.

When I saw the news that the fires were getting worse, I wondered if they might postpone the game, but then I though nah, the arena is pretty far from the fires at the moment.

But then it occurred to me that they may want cancel events all over and ask people to shelter in place just to keep emergency routes and hotels open. With something like this, I would not be surprised if cities are calling on help from other fire departments and for accommodations for evacuees.

We have so much family and friends in LA (my wife's entire side is there) and some of those friends have lost their homes in the Pacific Palisades. Luckily my in laws house is 5 miles away at the moment from that fire. My cousin lost his home as well. Scary stuff.

Yeah i just heard a life long buddy has lost everything as well....he lives in Palisades.

And ironically, that building that burned down yesterday out on 84 st was my cousin and her husbands place. She texted me from Mexico yesterday asking if i has heard anything about it...literally about 2 minutes later it was on the 5 o clock news.

Heading over tomorrow to have a look but souns like it is destroyed but the house and a couple other out buildings are fine.
