That is absolutely a part of it, there is also a fear of losing power, and a fear of what changing masculinity will mean. but those truths should not minimize the fact that left wing rhetoric casually potions men as villains in their narratives.

I should make clear that I don't think that young men turning to right wing politics is a good thing ( or even a bad thing for that matter). I just wanted to say that it is happening, and it is interesting to talk about why.

I dont think the Canadian argument for Lebensraum holds a lot of water.

Can’t Biden issue an executive order to send Trump to Greenland for an expedition?

That's another one of those great litmus tests to identify a gigantic loser. If you can't enjoy a celebratory swig of Baby Duck straight out of the bottle with your friends I know for an absolute fact you're a wet blanket tit that nobody likes.

Because women can open their own bank accounts now and don't have to settle for a job and a penis.

Gulf of America sounds like Mall of America to me.

We are well and truly ####ed here fellas. I know I've been a bit chicken little here, but can anyone see a reasonable option for dealing with the tariffs? Shutting off power to american civilians is obviously not reasonable and IMO is more likely than not to result in literal seizure of canadian infrastructure if enacted.

The tariffs are what shuts off Canadian oil and gas to the US, what we do is gt other markets for our energy pronto, get Kitimat up and running fast, get a LNG gas plant on the east coast fast, just announcing LMG plants (paid for by Germany) seriously pushes back

Who names bodies like the Gulf of Mexico. I don’t know how it could be a U.S. decision??

Edit: My original post said Golf of Mexico. Would be apt given Trump’s love of golf.

People name stuff, and idiots get upset about things like that all the time. As one example, the "Persian Gulf" and "Arabian Gulf" are the same body of water named by people who live on opposite sides of it.

I dont think you all understand... This is not possible. We have created a system wherin we CANT build infrastructure for export on a short time frame. There are too many regulatory requirements, requirements for consultation, opportunities for appeal, protected species, protected fisheries, protected areas, etc.

This is not possible to achieve, not now and not in Trumps term. We are incapable of building these projects currently under the legal framework of our country.

Example, look at the lack of critical minerals mines built in the last 4 years. The entire time the government in power has been talking about supporting them through the regulatory process and they still can't get any off the ground. These arent even as controversial as energy projects.

We should crowd-source a name, get everyone to vote on it.

You also need companies to sign up and commit production and agree to the tolls. Regulatory hurdles are an easy scapegoat, when often projects just don't make economic sense.

that's the narrative...he still lost that demographic just not as bad. Trump hit his ceiling which shouldn't have been high enough but the reality is Harris didn't get the vote out. Biden's 2020 totals still demolish Trump 2024

if were just adjusting names, we should start referring to the Spanish Flu as the American Flu, considering that was where the first documented case was.
